...and talk about people who could sing, no matter what their age, 17 or around 80 something!

he was great
I am amazed at how he has gotten the younger generation into his music. He is still going strong and the songs are timeless.

AGREED

i hope there is someone from my boomer generation that has that type of staying power and my best guess would be the supremes, little richard, the beatles, the stones, and michael jackson

imagine 20 years from now having an 80 someone like paul mccartney woo a tv audience with "yesterday" or "diana ross" tearing up the stage like lena horne did in her later years

i think it's possible to have today's living rock legends simply become elder statesmen of pop culture when they hit their 70s and 80s

even if ozzy osbourne lives long enough, he will be seen as a once bad boy turned totally respectable and legendary...heck, he may even be that right now and all that four letter swearing he did on his tv reality show only was seen as an endearing quirk of a man who none of us believe is "really" the prince of darkness

Did anyone tivo/dvr this and not see the end like me? WTF was that all about? How could they let the show run long????????????

I never have watched the show live. I cant stand the zillion commercials, and quite frankly there were a few of the contestants I couldnt stand to listen to so I always ffwd through them.

But I was just totally flabbergasted that I ffwd through the entire show to see the final results and had to go to the internet to actually see it, since the recording shut off at 10pm.

This was the first year Ive ever watched AI, and itll probably be the last.
