I've been using 70% alcohol to wipe down my iPads and iPhones weekly for years and never had any issues damaging the devices...
Crazy. I happened to have some in the medicine cabinet. TP, NSAIDs, Lysol, and hand soap were all hit hard at our local stores. Strangely enough, so were the 1.5 gallon tubs of ice cream. If you're gonna be indoors for a while, might as well make sure you have ice cream.Alcohol is sold out everywhere in my area...so phone soap it is.
You really think we'd notice a difference of 150 million? LOL.
Agreed, but I think his point is the hyper hysteria. People keep pointing out that the flu mortality rate is lower. OK great, and that is with vaccines available. I think something like 50% of Americans choose not to get the flu vaccine each year. So with thousands dying each year from that, why isn't that just as incredibly foolish? I would say that it is, but there doesn't seem to be such an incredible uproar over it."has killed a few thousand" SO FAR. It remains to be seen how this ramps up. Waiting until after there's a million dead before taking any precautions would be incredibly foolish. Better to take some precautions now. You don't put on your seatbelt because you plan to run into another car, you do it as a precaution, because the unlikely outcome if you don't is rather severe.
There should be.Agreed, but I think his point is the hyper hysteria. People keep pointing out that the flu mortality rate is lower. OK great, and that is with vaccines available. It's killed a few thousand out of only about 100 thousand infected. If 7 billion were infected, at this rate, over 150M would be dead. Over 6M dead in the USA. So take this seriously and please help stop spreading it.
Yeah. People on here are cracking me up. Pretending this is the plague or a zombie apocalypse or something. lol. A few people have died, big deal. There are many far more realistic threats, but yeah, lets pretend a virus that has killed a few thousand people out of over 7 billion is a big deal.
Okay. Now imagine something as contagious as the flu abut with an even higher mortality rate. That’s the concern right now.Since October 2019 between 20,000 – 52,000 have died from the Flu. BUT LETS CREATE MASSIVE PANIC AND HYSTERIA ABOUT CORONAVIRUS!!!! Such a joke... all politics and if you don't think so, reevaluate yourself.
iWipes for the low price of $800 per package!!!Don't worry - nobody has any wipes in stock anywhere anyway!

Yea it only takes one of those 150M to be someone you love for you to notice.Well, at least now we know that nothing you've said is serious.
Genocide much?
I never wash my credit card; that's money laundering.Okay, that's my dad joke for the day.

I've had one for a while. Haven't been impressed with the construction because half the time it doesn't come on when I close the lid. I have been using it a lot recently though.
I thought the same thing with mine, but then I realized that sometimes it needs to warm-up first. I'll close the lid and the light doesn't come on, but after standing there watching it for less than a minute, it suddenly comes on. So sometimes for me it comes on instantly, and other times up to nearly a one minute delay.
How important is is to wash your phone if nobody else ever touches it?
I can't remember the last time anybody other than my wife touched my phone for any reason whatsoever.
All i stated was the numbers of deaths from the Flu this year. Which are astronomically higher than this coronavirus. Fact. Please, please get your coronavirus facts outside of one person's twitter account who is more concerned about how this global threat affects him, and himself only. You are welcome to look for other sources, there are many articles out there from many sources, but it should be one with actual doctors and other actual experts being quoted, without having to go through a filter to downplay the situation and pat the boss on the back.

Please...educate yourself. Though I suspect you're just craving for some attention.
It has a 99.7% recovery rate for people below the age of 50. The flu kills thousands, and hundreds of thousands a year. Why is this such a big deal when the current US mortality rate is less than this years flu? 0.03 vs 0.09. This is just the media wanting attention to generate ratings. Just like everything else they do. Remember when we thought SARS would kill us all? Or Ebola? Or Zika? whatever happened to those "Scares"?
I think just about any type of soap kills germs.I would worry about the isopropyl alcohol harming the lipophobic and anti-glare coatings. Also those wipes are slightly abrasive, which can further degrade the coating.
My question to the experts is: Does cleaning an iPhone with a drop of dish soap on a wet towel sufficiently remove germs?
Interesting. I could not see that quote on the linked Apple page on my Mac using Safari, Chrome or Firefox.. However, I could see it when using my iPhone.
It's not a flu, smart guy. You may think its funny to joke about 150,000,000 dead people, and if one of your loved ones is one of them I hope you keep laughing.
Stay home even if you feel fine
