here is a thing that some android fans are so proud of themself. they think that only smart people like themself know how to use, set up, root a phone.

it is just a phone. many people are busy with their life. they don't need to waste time to root the phone to make it work right. Doctor, layer, carpenter, grandma, kids, etc, they don't need to worry about RAM, memory leak, rooting, quadcore, etc. there are more important things in life than a phone.

if regular people can't figure out how to use a feature of a phone, the phone designer/engineer fails. since this feature becomes useless by most people, and only a few people use it, who spend time to learn.
Well I'm an electrician who programs plc's and looks after a scada network, so technology is my life and I love it. When I'm relaxing in front of the TV, I can play with my phone and do all sorts of cool stuff. My phone isn't used for Facebook and selfies lol

Wireless chargers are cheap and make it easy to have one at your desk, your home, even my truck has a built in wireless charger, so no matter where I set my phone down, it's on a wireless charger and tops up

Yeah I had two of them. One for work and one for phone. Problem was the charge rate is bad. They are useless.

My Note 7 lasts longer than any phone I've had. Although some have complained about battery life with it, I've been lucky

The 6 Plus was way better than my Note 3 and the 7 Plus is even better. The difference between the Note 5 and 7 Plus is a gulf. Gsam is a very popular android app and it exists for a reason. I can't be convinced to the efficacy of android batteries because I've owned too many. In the end this all depends on your tolerance for charging phones more than once per day. Mine is low.

I'm not sure where this idea that the plus models of the iPhone aren't pocketable has come from.

I don't wear skinny jeans, but I wear slim fit jeans and slacks, and my 6s plus and 7 plus both fit in those pants just fine. Even when sitting, driving, etc., it's not an issue at all.

Maybe in an otterbox or life proof case it's tough? I dunno. I go caseless, so maybe that's part of it, but I don't have a single pair of shorts or pants in which the phone doesn't fit.

I have a six in a slim Spigen case. It digs into my hip walking up stairs in some of my pants. Taking stairs 2 at a time is a no go in almost all of my pants. The standard size phone already dictates how I move in some situations. I can't imagine the plus. Maybe my body type is just different.

One can love technology and still buy things that are affordable. Just saying. Give the man a break.[/QUOTE]

Thank you for getting my point! Simplicity!
[doublepost=1475469878][/doublepost]Wow I appreciate all the input you guys put regardless of your opinions. I still like iOS and Android but it's nice to read different viewpoints! My mute switch needs to be repaired before I can use this 5C as a phone but I'm still considering it for a daily phone. To people who say I need to use a 6S or 7 to have "my mind blown", I'm okay for now. Just because I like technology doesn't mean I can afford the latest and greatest. I appreciate any technology even if it's not the "best". Personally I think the majority of us (myself included at times) are too deep into materialism. Wouldn't it be nice to stick with a device that is working just fine for you for a few years? I can see why people upgrade for new features and that's fine and all, but I think it would be cool to keep an iPhone 5, 5S etc and not dump these devices off in a landfill. Just my two cents. People are welcome to disagree with me

Maybe from the fact it's not pocketable for small framed people? :? I'm 5'8, don't wear Euro-tight pants, and the Plus is way too big to sit comfortably in my pockets, and the screen is way too honkin' huge for me to use one handed. It's a comfort/usability issue...not everyone is going to agree with everyone else. :)

Just wanted to chime in. I'm 5'6", 130 lbs. I have my plus in an otterbox symmetry and it fits in my pockets just fine. I also use it one handed just fine as well. I can't reach the opposite corner from my thumb, but that's what the double tap on the home button is for ;)

Update, I convinced my gf to switch to the 7 plus as I was so unenthusiastic about the 7 being a useless overpriced upgrade from the 6. I picked it up last night for her, she set it up and now I'm impressed! Awsome screen, super fast, games and videos are amazing. She's loving it and discovering new things all the time. Can't wait to try the dual camera. I'd say its on par with my N7, except for the lack of customizing and the s pen features. The led screen looks really sharp next to my quad hd oled screen. I think Apple did good with the plus

Dude, your name is techguy15. Why on earth are you rocking old phones like it's 2014? I'm such a tech whore I've bought a iPhone 6S, Nexus 6, S7, SE and iPhone 7 Plus within the last 12 months. I pray to God that I don't buy any other phones until the next iPhone comes out. At least get a iPhone SE, the fastest small phone out right now. Such a underrated phone especially by Android folks. I got mine with $400 in Target gift cards about a month ago so use those tech skills and pay attention to slickdeals.

I'm so bad I should change my name to techwhore74. I was also a hardcore Android guy but ultimately dropped my fanboy tag and started to love all tech.

just because his username is techguy might mean he likes all kinds of technology, not just physical devices.

and sounds like you have GAS and don't know how to control it, thats even worse.

I sort of disagree with this.

You're in to tech, but you don't care about the tech you use most frequently?

Then again I have run in to some people in IT with some old phones.

the note 7 need all night charging, iphone one hours its enough

What sort of charger do you use?

With fast charging it can charge in a little over an hour and that's from less than 10%

I use a Note 7, have an iPhone 6 for work. Just bought my gf the iPhone 7 yesterday. I can't believe Apple sells that ****, and people love it. The iPhone is the most basic phone that doesn't do anything that's actually useful, innovative or helps productivity. The change from the 6 to the 7 is sooo minimal

What can the Note 7 do that actually useful, innovative, or helps productivity, that the iPhone can't?

Way to back track! ;) But seriously, other than a few gimmicky features, there isn't much more Android phone can do. Yes, there may be some fringe cases, but nothing incredibly different. It's the apps that are the most important and both platforms have those in abundance.

That's so unfair! :(

I learned this is a common problem from a friend of mine when she was always putting her phone in her back pocket - those tiny front pockets are ridiculously stupid because they're next to useless for anything, including keys!

They aren't good for rapid charging, but if you're at home or at your desk at work, you have plenty of time to charge them.

Open rar files
Number key on top of keyboard
Multi Window
S-Pen-When you remove the pen from its holder you automatically activate the Notes mode.A very handy productivity feature indeed
A proper File Manager
SideSync -It lets you take control of your phone with your laptop's or desktop's keyboard and mouse and mirrors the content of your phone to a larger display.Sidesync works on all platforms
You can actually download unrecognized file formats on Android like mdb and .kgb

really? there many things but i will name just 2 here that the note7 can do usefully that the iphone can't
1. if your use your phone for business and you need to sign a contract. you can sign contracts and even pdf docs with the spen.
2. you can do real multitasking which is 2 screens open at the same time. (not just going back and forth from one app to the next) that's not multitasking that's just going in and out of apps.

Open rar files - Can do this on iOS via app
Number key on top of keyboard - Seems trivial
Multi Window - Pointless on a phone
S-Pen-When you remove the pen from its holder you automatically activate the Notes mode.A very handy productivity feature indeed - No issue with my finger, I can probably open the app before you get your pen out
A proper File Manager - Many apps to act as a file manager
SideSync -It lets you take control of your phone with your laptop's or desktop's keyboard and mouse and mirrors the content of your phone to a larger display.Sidesync works on all platforms - I am lost on the functionality, but I use an app called Screens to remotely log into my Mac. Or I airplay if I want my content on the larger screen.
You can actually download unrecognized file formats on Android like mdb and .kgb - You can do this via apps. I download .mkv torrents on my iPhone all the time.

Yes, I am serious. This argument is pretty much void nowadays.

1. You can annotate PDF's via apps on iOS
2. Not sure of the real benefit on a 5.5 inch screen, seems like this may actually decrease productivity in some ways.
