I was making it clear, that, as a loyal iPhone customer and getting tired of Apple's standstill approach to the iPhone, he would lose my custom. I also say I'm prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Tim Cook is not some God that you dare not criticise. That's the feeling I'm getting from the tone of your message.

You got the wrong "feeling" then. Find something better to do with your time. You'll be amazed at how productive you can become when your efforts are placed in the right places.

I'm sure Apple has noted your concerns.

Well, a good company listens to its customer's concerns. That said, I have a feeling a lot of people don't bother to raise their concerns. That's a feeling I'm getting from this forum anyway.

As I've said repeatedly, things will only change if enough people complain.

It took two minutes to write the email. My time is plenty productive thank you.

A good company understands what it's customers want and provide that service. That doesn't mean every customer get's everything they want out of the products they buy. Take an extreme example related to cars. I would like a car that is as big as an expedition, handles like a Ferrari, sips gas like a Prius and costs the same as a Civic. Think I'll get it?

That train of though is no different than a lot of posts I've read here. Now for example, if a majority of customers want file system access, email TC and start to leave ios for android because they have file system access, apple might listen. But your email talks about stale design, unannounced products and a standstill. If people leave ios for android, apple might listen. I'm getting the iphone 7, I have a feeling it will be worth the upgrade. If sales are minimal apple may change their strategy. If sales are brisk, you're tilting at windmills.

We could say that about anyone spending time posting on this forum, including you.

What's with the hostility? I bet the average human being spends more time a week eating junk food than it took to write this letter.

Perspective.

As soon as the technology is viable, yes, and they wouldn't be able to produce enough to meet demand for years to come. I think we would have to break some laws of physics too but that's a minor setback

Speaking of physics we humans have sent man to the moon and split the atom, surely Apple can provide the iPhone to end all iPhones.:p

He didn't just write the letter, he came here to discuss writing the letter, then proceeded to argue with the people that told him things he didn't want to hear. No hostility here, buddy. I'm just calling it like I see it. The letter came across as somewhat of an ultimatum. Not something Tim Cook will likely respond to. Oh, and I don't eat junk food.

His choice. And yours is responding. As always.

Why'd you come back? I imagine the two of you have similar motivators.

Not sure in what works telling a person to do something better with their time isn't considered hostile, but we clearly see things differently. That's ok too.

This is a copy of an email I've just sent to Tim Cook, CEO at Apple, regarding the new iPhone.

Alas, I doubt he'll even take any notice.

Hi Tim,

I've emailed you a few times about things in the past. I don't know if you actually receive, or read them, but I hope you do.

That said, I want to express my frustrations at what I am seeing (photo's and videos) and reading about the upcoming iPhone.

Things like, same design as iPhone 6/6s, lack of headphone jack and a constant obsession with ever thinner devices forsaking decent battery capacity.

I have purchased every iPhone apart from the 3GS, 5c, 6 and 6s (having purchased the 5s, 6 and 6s Plus).

However, of late, I'm fed up with what seems like a standstill in progress. Put it this way, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is an exceptionally impressive device - something I didn't think I'd ever say about a Samsung product. Just a shame about the ****** software on it.
[doublepost=1471073061][/doublepost]It's important to let Apple know that your satisfied or dissatisfied with their iPhone
With any other company people simply don't buy their products but with Apple we have to voice our opinion as an iPhone is hard to replace
Hopefully Tim Cook looks at some emails but these days it's doubtful

So you've written an email to the CEO of Apple, about a product that doesn't exist officially and hasn't even been confirmed by Apple, not only this, but the iPhone 7 will already be in production, what do you expect, Tim Cook to suddenly stop production because you are not happy about a few rumours which may or may not be true in the first place?

While i admire your determination and willingness to defend what you believe, Tim Cook will probably have not had any input into the iPhone 7 design, yes at most he has to sign off on it, but Tim is not a designer, that is Johnny Ive's department. Apple devices are often worked on years in advance, hell Apple probably already know what they are going to be doing for the iPhone 9! This is a rumour site, but not everything on here about the iPhone 7 is going to be accurate, so until Apple holds their usual iPhone event, i would take the rumours with a pinch of salt.

Juts my personal opinion here, but i don't see what's wrong with the iPhone 7? based on the rumours we have seen, it will be getting a slight redesign with the antenna lines moving, maybe a new Space Black colour.
As for features a bigger and better camera is rumoured for the 7 and a dual camera is rumoured for the iPhone 7 Plus, a haptic feedback home button, a 256GB storage option, with storage starting at 32GB instead of 64GB. No doubt there will also be little surprises that have not leaked out yet. And i bet that when the cameras are compared the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus dual camera will wipe the floor with the S7 and Note 7 (Probably until next year when Samsung announce the S8 and Note 8 and then the cycle will start again)

Spirited effort, matjamca, but colossal waste of time. Better approach is what I did:

-Sold retina MBP for a Lenovo X1 Carbon
-Returned 2016 retina MB
-Sold iPhone 6
-Sold iPhone 6s
-Bought HTC 10
-Delete iTunes cloud and physical library
-Keep Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Wireless headphones that work with everything when plugged in.
-Don't buy iPhone 7

Simple as that. Vote with your wallet.

I'm sure that's Johnny's job but I'm sure the CEO ( Tim Cook ) has to sign off on all new designs. I mean after all he's the one ultimately responsible for the company.
