Games like this are made for the handheld market (iPhones, iPods, iPads), and they do phenomenally well there.
Will they do well on the desktop? I am guessing not so much...

The question I am asking is, will the Mac App Store be completely flooded with crappy games in the same way that the iOS App Store is?
There ARE gems on the iOS App Store, but they're hidden amongst a LOT of crap!
I *really* want a fart app for my desktop OS too...

Regardless of the Mac App Store, I knew this day would come. All the applications are written in Obj-C so the porting is gonna cinch for developers.

This is a simple point and click game. It'll be easy to adapt it to the computer when you consider this old thing that's been around forever called a mouse. They now come in bluetooth, so it should be easy to connect. How this game will fair out with touchpads remains questionable.

My girlfriend is obsessed with this game, landed like 1700 planes on a airport. She's gonna be so happy now because she's planning to buy a 13'' mbp. Yay!!

I don't know how well Flight Control will port over to non-touched base interfaces. Don't get me wrong, I love the game, it's just that I find that part of the reason it plays so well is because it embraces touch based controls, not be hampered by them *cough* virtual joysticks *cough*.
I just feel that that's going to be lost with the loss of touchscreens.
