but speaking of duff, I'm surprised no one has ever put out a duff brand beer before. you know simpson's fans would buy it (at least once anyway - more if it's actually good)!

maybe someone has done it...I've never seen it though...

It was sold for awhile in Aussieland but lawyers and what not killed that off a number of years ago

I just drank a bottle of Grolsch lager, from Holland in one of those funky bottles. Pretty strong with a slight bitter taste, but all good.

Just came back from t'pub. Several pints of Marstons smooth (bitter).

Rather nice - not fruity like many English bitters;

not chemically like the foreign (to UK) lagers.

Not as good as some I have tasted, but available locally.

EDIT: and much much better than Aussie "bitters" such as VB, MB, NQB, even some of the Tassie and SA stuff. NZ beer has a totally different taste, so won't compare.
