Not ashamed to admit, Apple finally built the iPhone I wanted. I'm excited, I have many iPads on love the Apple App store / eco systems. Everything I use on Android is available on Apple now with iOS allowing 3rd party keyboards..I can give up home screen configuration, not a deal breaker, about the only thing I consider as being a sacrifice. Just curious how many of us are out there.

OG DROID -> DROID X -> HTC Thunderbolt (for week) -> Galaxy Nexus -> Galaxy S3 -> Galaxy Note 2
-> Galaxy S4 -> Galaxy Note 3 -> HTC One M8 -> LG G3 -> iPhone 6 Plus 128GB, Gold

Just got my Moto 360, sad that I didnt even get to enjoy it one day, it arrived Weds, and I decided to switch to iPhone on Tuesday.

Also owned Asus Transformer and Nexus 7, son has a Nvidia shield. Oh a couple Google TVs & 3 Chromecast.

I am going to buy a Chromebook too, that new Samsung one with stellar battery life.

So I'm not leaving Google all together and I am sure I will miss it, just not enough to keep using it as my daily driver.

Be prepared to give up true multitasking. I love my 5s otherwise. I'm sure you'll love your 6.

In, kinda...

I have a galaxy S3, which I only have because my 5 got stolen and ATT gave me this for free, never would've gone to Android otherwise

Got a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 that I'll be ditching in favour of the iPhone 6+. The Note 2 has been really good to me in terms of the hardware and Android can do some neat stuff that you can't easily do, or do at all, on iOS. But iOS 8 will add some of those features and the rest I can live without, or never used to begin with, so it's not really an issue for me.

I've owned an iPad 4 for almost 2 years now and a retina mini for almost a year and they are just waaay nicer to use than my Note 2. In fact, I got the mini just so I can have that nice user experience on the go (it just barely fits in the pocket of my jacket). Android with Samsung's TouchWiz can be quirky to say the least and the ecosystem is so much better on iOS, at least for the type of apps I use. Toss in the new features in iOS 8/Yosemite that'll allow the devices to better work together and it becomes a no-brainer to me. I'm even this close to getting a Mac just to get the full experience (and because Windows bugs the hell out of me these days).

The reason why I haven't switched to the iPhone before now, and the reason why I got the Note 2 to begin with, is the screen size. Pure and simple. 99% of the time, I use my smartphone as a pocket computer. Yeah, holding a 5.5" phone to your ear is like speaking into a brick. Yeah, I look stupid doing that. But I tried my sister's iPhone 5 and that small display frustrated me to no end, so Note 2 it was, brick be damned. I'm glad I can now get the phone I've been wanting for over a year (when I started realizing how consistently buggy Samsung/Android products can be). So big thanks to Apple for delivering on that front!

Me! This will be my 1st iPhone. I love my iPad and MacBook so I figured it was time. I've had the Original Droid, Droid X, Galaxy Nexus, & Moto X. I can't wait to get my new phone!

iPhone 4 to Note 2 now back to iPhone 6+. The only reason for getting the Note 2 was because Apple wasn't making anything in a larger screen size at the time. Happy to be going back to Apple and get back on the ecosystem. Been using my old iPhone 4 for the last couple of weeks since my Note 2 has a cracked screen. 6+ is going to be a shock again like the Note 2 was the first few weeks I had it.

Kinda. I always had iPhones before my galaxy s5. I knew I'd go back to iPhone at some point but I didn't expect it to be 6 months later. Android wasn't for me.

I will always use both OS. I will pick up a Note 4 when it's released. If the 6+ is a dud I will drop it for a MotoX and keep my 5s.

Just like a couple of friends ahead, I am coming back to iPhone after Note 2. It was a good phone, but it was purchased 2 years ago mostly for the size.
The way I use the phone, I do not need extra features of the android system, some if which don't work all the time either. The essential apps that I need worked mych better on IOS.
Pics and videos have always been worse on Note. Way worse than my iPhone4.
Ordered 64gb iPhone6 plus in Space Gray.

I'm sick of getting a new Android phone and waiting for a bootloader to get unlocked. The hackers put a ton of work in on iOS to give us a jailbreak, as I don't enjoy not having full control over my phone. I mean you can't even move your icons around on the screen without a Jailbreak. Jailbreak really does give you a ton of customization options that really help bring iOS closer to what Android can do. Bought the only thing I'm missing is home screen widgets, which really I dont need to know the weather on my home screen that bad. Just a novelty, but I love my jailbroken iPad Mini Retina. Still learning the whole jail break thing tho, 6 ipads and I've only jailbroken one device, and have yet to had to upgrade once jailbroken. Going to have to figure out how to restore my ipad so I can upgrade to iOS 8, but I think I will wait for the iOS 8 jailbreak to come outbefore upgrading my iPad Mini.

Are you Android guys former Root/Rom'ers? Planning on Jailbreak?

So you can't decide to the point of having both phones? :p I have always used both iOS and Android, as I've had an iPad since the first generation. I wanted an iPhone in 2007 and 2008, finally by TOTAL accident, was in a Bestbuy and they had this new phone by Motorola called the "Droid", at the time I had NO IDEA what Android was (just missed the news I guess as I am a Systems Engineer in IT) after I bought one for me and my wife, and got it home, I was like "Wow this is like an iPhone this is cool!" I just thought I was getting a big screen phone with a keyboard LOLZ. The days of having 512MB of storage and most android apps being around 100k, and terriblely ugly vs iPhone though, but I loved it, it was my only choice as a life long Verizon customer and I wasn't switching carriers just for the iPhone. By the time Verizon got the iPhone my phone had a 4.3" screen and I wasn't about to go down to a 3.5" screen. When the 4" screen came out I was up to a 5.5" screen. So as I said they finally built the iPhone I've been wanting ever since Verizon could get it anyway. In 2007 it was revolutionary. By 2009 it was very far behind IMO. The OG Droid even was awarded with Time Magazine's Device of the Year, over the iPhone.

Glad there's others like me!

I was torn if I should stay with Android or go back to the iPhone 6

Here's my history. I was always am iPhone user, but after the iPhone 5, I wanted a bigger screen. Currently have the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and love it. But miss alot of stuff with Apple like FaceTime, syncing calenders etc (since my wife still using the iPhone 5)

But I think I have decided in early October to go back to the iPhone 6 plus. I enjoy alot of things with Android, but the main reason I left the iPhone was for the bigger screen and now that they have one, no reason why I'm not returning.

However I'm not one of the Android or apple fan boys. I have used both and can see advantages and disadvantages with each.

I had the Note 3 for awhile and I am happy to see that Apple has finally added a larger screened device to their lineup for those of us who have been wanting one.

I have used Apple products a long long time, starting with the emac. BUT I wanted a big screen...so I got the Note 3. It's okay...I have the Gear watch as well. Just can't get the hang of android and downloading pics etc is a hassle on the mac mini. I have a 2 year contract though with 1 year left from Dec 29th, so not sure what I'll do. So happy Apple jumped on the big screen bandwagon...just wish they did it a year ago.

note 2 is a great phone, if apple didn't make a 5.5 inch phone i would of bought the note 4.... But iTunes the camera and their touch id blow samsung out the water.. I just had to buy a Jackery power brick to supplement the lack of removal battery..
