As a former android user iphone is more set it and forget it. Android is best suited for people who have time to kill. I found myself wasting hours tweaking my android just because I could. After getting a iphone I found myself tapping back into a social life and being much more productive. My 2 cents.

I really enjoyed reading your 2cents. Unique perspective.

Agree. Its absolutely fine to enjoy playing with it, hot rods are the same. But I find with the iPhone, I use it, apps are king. I could say that I don't use an iPhone, I use iPhone apps

Is there anybody else who got an iPhone 6 Plus but now wants to go back?

Nope - pretty happy with my 6+ after using a Moto X and Note 3 (rooted) for about 2 years. Biggest problem I'm having is finding a case I really like. Nekkid is too slippery.

I find it funny that android people get bored of their OS, switch to iOS and are perfectly satisfied :')
I've read it more than a few times. But of course it's the other way around too.

Apple must be doing something right.

I'm enjoying the 6 plus after 4 years of android. I've had htc OG Incredible, htc rezound, Galaxy s4, 13 Moto X, and Droid Turbo. I still have the Turbo but I'm finding the iPhone does everything android does, just in a different way. I always used Nova launcher but it didn't matter because I always used the same icons and the same layout no matter the device. Can't beat the battery life and camera of the Plus.

I just switched ti iOS from Android myself mainly because I was bored with it. But has nothing to do with Android itself, the fact I've been using it since eclair. Just wanted to try something different.

Only had the iphone for a week but I like it. It's taking me a while to get used to some changes though. Also frustrating not being able to do little things that you could do on Android. But overall not a bad experience. A back button would be great though

Well call me crazy  I just placed an order with OPO for another new OnePlus One

For several reasons; the $300 price for the OPO is still hard to beat, and I need battery life on my smartphone, and the OPO is one of the top battery champ phones out there. Plus I prefer stock vanilla Android type OS, over lets say Touchwiz or Sense. And with the official Lollipop update due this week for the OPO = CM12S, and also the brand new Oxygen OS from the Paranoid Android team now working for OPO also due this week, I have two good choices for which OS I want to use on my OnePlus One.

I really liked the iPhone 6 Plus, but I miss Android a lot. The little things like a back button, notification LED, double tap to wake, the way notifications work, home screen widgets, etc... Which is stuff that even Jailbreak doesn't really offer, or do well.

I wanted to go smaller, phone size, but I also crave and need battery life, and battery life is really only found on Phablets of 5.5" or bigger. I would go back to a One M8 if the battery life was there for me, or wait for the One M9, if it got like 6h On Screen time, but they don't.

The only other phone that peaked my interest was the Sony Z3, as that thing is also known as a battery beast, but the Z3 is still pretty pricey in the $500 + range, and is a bit dated, and also size wise, yes it's smaller, but watching videos of the Z3 compared to the OPO or i6Plus, it didn't look substantially smaller, just a bit smaller. And the price difference of the OPO for $300, vs the Z3 being $500+, was too great for me to justify. And I am not a fan of Snapdragon 810 phones, I think it best to skip this round of phones, and wait till the 815 phones come out later Summer.

IMO I still view the OPO as a Nexus 5.5, looks like a larger next gen Nexus 5, with updated hardware, something I could have seen Google selling as a Nexus in the Spring of 2014, and for $ 299 it still can't be beat. Name me one brand new phone for under $300 off contract, with 2014 flagship specs ?

Let's see how I really like the transition going back to Android, after 3 months away. My One will be here next week.

I got bored with iOS two years ago and bought a Nexus 4 because I didn't think the iPhone 5 was a worthy upgrade.

I used the Nexus 4 for two years. I also bought an iPhone 5S. I still have it.

Back in January, I bought a Note 4 and a Note Edge. I seriously love those phones and the Note Edge is my take everywhere phone.

Last month, I bought a 6+. I use it every day also but I doubt I could ever leave Android and stay with iOS completely.

I did have every iPhone from the beginning except the 5 like I said above and will continue to buy them as long as they are worth an upgrade. I will also buy the next Note.

I miss the back button every time I use my iPhone.

Why is a back button better than a simple swipe from left edge or a home button press?

Why is DDTW better than "1 press to wake and unlock"?

What about notifications is better on Android?

What more do you get out of putting widgets on your home screen versus having them in the notification pull down?

Just me being curious :D

Back to a OnePlus One again yesterday. I ordered it Tuesday, just regular shipping and it arrived Saturday. As you know this is my second OPO.

Out of the box, I rooted it immediately, and installed official CM12, and installed my apps I like, and also Xposed with Greenify, and Amplify for battery savings, and of course AdAway and YouTube AdAway.

First impressions;

- Coming from my iPhone 6 for 3 months. Even though both phones have the exact same 5.5" screen size, naked with no case, the OnePlus feels easier and better in the hand, the curved back just rests in the hand better, and the One does feel just a hair smaller for some reason, feels easier to one hand, where the 6 Plus never felt comfortable one handed, like I might drop it. The 6 Plus felt top heavy for some reason, and is just heavier.

- Boeing back on Android for a day now, the back button is a godsend, thank the lord. And with CM12 is nice I can move the software keys around, and I moved the back button to be right in the middle, easier to hit.

- I will admit the Jailbreak lock screen is better, I was using Intelli X lock screen, that had my Calendar, game scores, weather, etc... which was very convenient, and easy access. Wish there was a similar lock screen for Android ?

- Screen quality, the 6 Plus has a sharper nicer display. No question. The 6 Plus screen is the best for 1080p display IMO. I know it's no Note 4 or S6 good, but I'd say it's the best outside of those. The OnePlus Screen is ok.

- Overall usage, the OnePlus just seems faster and easier to pick up and get going. Where the 6 Plus, felt like it took a couple more steps to really get into something, if that makes any sense ? The 6 Plus has this long pause doing certain things, like a 2 or 3 second delay on certain things, not all the time, just some apps, or even the phone, where the OnePlus is just instant, blink of an eye fast.

- Ambient Display is really cool on Lollipop, I like seeing notifications like that. And the LED Notification light of course has always been great, I think Apple needs to add that to the iPhone already. I mean even Blackberry had the red flashing light for notifications before Android.

- I do like Lollipop better than iOS 8, but there are things that iOS does very well and good, just wish it was faster, and had more customization. I do feel the 1GB RAM does slow down the 6 Plus.

- Widgets, I do love me some widgets. I have widgets for Calendar agenda, Current weather + date, Sports scores, Power toggles, 5 day forecast weather. Even a JB iPhone is very limited on the widgets. I don't understand why Apple can't at least offer the option of home screen widgets. If you don't like them don't use them then, but at should still be an option.

- At the end of the day, there isn't that one perfect device. I guess you just need to pick the one that checks off most the boxes you like, and go with it. Only phones on my radar moving forward are the OnePlus Two, due 3rd QTR, or the Note 5 if it's designed like the S6, but most likely the Note 5 if it does follow the S6 build and shape. A thin and flat Note 5, made of the same metal and glass like the S6 could be an amazing device IMO.

First workday back on Android in three months, let's see how this goes.
Welcome back!

It took me awhile to get used to iOS again but jailbreaking seems to be the only way to correct some of things I got used to from an unrooted Android. To me, iOS is a better OS than WP with its strong app selection and ecosystem but isn't as complimentary to Android since everything is confined within its ecosystem.

But I will stick to Android with Windows Phone as a complimentary OS. I need Bluetooth data transfer and Android and WP can communicate to each other since I am not always online or have a computer around.
