Haven't stepped inside an Apple Store in years. Half the merchandise on the floor is outdated (Macs) the iPads are still useless and the phones are still fugly. The colors they use for their products look like an Easter celebration gone horribly wrong. I walk past one every once in a while, see nothing new from the outside, sigh and continue on...

Sad what this company has become.

This post makes no sense. You have not been in Apple Store in years and yet you judge it like you have been inside daily? It appears the colors inside the Store
Really distress you.

If it helps alleviate your Apple hate, Keep spreading your meandering bashing on the 'Fugly' iPhone and 'Useless' iPad comments.

Ahrendts said she considers the retail store the biggest product Apple has.

I guess that is literally true.

I still quite like the stores, but getting assistance when you want to buy something can be tricky (I would prefer an old-fashioned queue over this open outcry method).

So your saying, Angela Ahrendts is the reason every one of your Apple Store visits has been "Poor experiences." Feel free to elaborate on how she has affected your experience and contrived to your anecdotal Dismay.

My visits to my Apple Stores and other Apple Stores around the country for that matter, have been excellent under her reign. Helpful staff, courteous and most of all, assertive in the right areas to answer My questions or concerns. Maybe I should commemorate Angela for providing an experience where I will and want to return in the future.

I suspect people are blaming her for some poor product launches where Apple did not have stock in store and staff were actively pushing people to shop online . If you like the Apple Store experience , being told to order online cause you will get it faster is not a good experience in my opinion.

Also what does not help , is what we are seeing now, people who preordered their iPhones straight away on preorder day are having to wait longer than people who are walk ins.

In my opinion , which is it ? Order online or walk in if I want to get the product . This kind of confusion i consider a poor experience . I used to be just online , but these days I have noticed that the worst delivery dates are actually online , a 3rd party will get stock before hand and so will Apple stores . From when I decided to get a JB black it took me 1.5 weeks to get one in store, online estimate is 6-8 weeks. The shopping experience for customer be it online or instore should not be like this in my opinion.

Is this Angela's fault ....nope, though the poor experience is being pushed online.

Stores, stores, stores....it ain't bad...but i wish they focus on desktops. With outdated hardwares, having stores is pretty much useless you want iphones or whatever...otherwise they would be selling products that are considered "legacy."

Though once you get stuck in the ecosystem , what choice do you have? My PC standards its legacy but by Apple standards it's new. The reality is the desktop range is going the way of Mac Pro updates , every 3 years or so.

The products that will be updated on a regular basis are the cash cows , idevices .

Is she the reason why, in the past year or two, that when I step in an Apple store, I have to either get into a line to check in (so I can get in another line at a table and wait 30 min to get helped), or I look for someone to help me while some employees are standing around doing nothing, ignoring me, and then directing me to the check in person?

It's been great before. I remember employees used to come to me asking if I needed help. Past 5 visits, you could clearly see them standing around doing nothing, and not looking to engage with any customers. It felt very LVMH to me.

You make some good points. I think purchasing online has become more efficient in terms of serving the customer at a faster rate, being how online ordering has evolved. And with Apple Stores being out of reach for many, online ordering has been really the only option.

And from my experience, I have had generally positive experiences ordering online from Apple. The first Generation Apple Watch was the only delay I experienced, yet; I still received it earlier than the expected delivery date.

Likewise, my visits to Apple stores around the world have been great experiences. Even things like going in for repairs have improved. Product launches have 'changed', where they no longer encourage the long, 4,000-person lines and instead get people to reserve an come in during time slots.

I've also been to a couple 4 Next-gen stores. I didn't like a couple of things at first (like how accessories are actually behind drawers that you have to open) but overall, they're great/better experiences and more inviting.

Great S0 Apple Watch, Angela. Powerful women, making your Apple experience more like a snobby Burberry experience. Concepts so next-gen, that you won't even be able to buy our products in our own stores.

The experience has gone from Apple Stores being all about experience from purchase onwards, to almost ending and purchase. Workshops and Genius Bar are now difficult, inconvenient, and sometimes unworkable in schedule.

Same here to be honest. I still prefer online, it suits my shopping habits better, and Apple stores post launch are not a good experience in my opinion, way too many people.
