"PC rules"?!? Was that a Microsoft or an Apple ad? ;)

I agree. The last image that the consumer was left with was "PC Rules" with no rebuttal from the Apple side.

I love Apple's "Get a Mac" ads - they're the best PC (and Vista) ads ever made and it would be very interesting to know how many PCs they've sold so far.

Oops. Oh. Apple wanted to sell Macs with that campaign? I'm afraid that backfired: The cool guy in those commercials is PC guy and unlike Mac guy, PC guy has character, humor and is actually funny. PC guy stays in memory, but who remembers Mac guy or what he said?

I agree. As much as I love Apple's products, their commercials of late have been terrible.* The Mac guy is obnoxious and arrogant while the PC guy is a sympathetic character. They are just reinforcing the negative stereotype of Mac users as snobs.

* I do enjoy some of the older ads like 1984, The Power To Be Your Best, Crowd Control, Elope, Think Different and some of the Switcher ads.

Nice ads. But the Microsoft 'I'm a PC' ads really do damage these significantly. It was excellent counter advertising.

Yes, for running the exact same concept for 5 or 6 years.

Blue screens haven't been seen since XP came out, all those years ago. Get over it?

And yet, the majority of users are still using XP and manufacturers are still sellig computers with it. I had a blue screen with Vista once IIRC. Admittedly, Vista isn't too bad, I just prefer OS X for my main.

Whoops, can someone merge my threads?

Transcripts, Please!

What does PC say after he drops the snowman's head to the rabbit?

??? that happened.

cramzy me? cranny me? crazy me? :(

I think they are funny. The bunny one cracked me up. What Apple should do is have a commercial with two PCs. A Cool one and your standard dorky one. The "Cool" PC could be standing next to the Apple guy explaining to his "Dorky" brother how much better windows runs on an Apple. He can even interact with Mac, but the old PC can't.

I see something reflected in the Christmas ornaments, I'm sure it's "manufactured" but I almost can be convinced I see lighting and a camera... anyone else?

When working in 3D, you can place any image in the scene to be reflected weather it is really there or not. You can actually have different items reflect entirely different things.

Actually, if you look at all the ornaments on the tree, none have the same reflections

I wouldn't look too deep into this. Just animator or shader being detailed...

Exactly. I'm surprised that Microsoft even bothered with an ad campaign, considering how much free advertising Apple has given Windows. Now Apple is telling us that the "PC Rules." They must be right. Now, my next computer will be a PC.
