Maybe im the only one... but... i dont really care what the back of my phone looks like.
I agree. Who cares, maybe they really upped the size of the sensors to take much better pictures and better low light pictures.

I’ll never get over how ugly that notch is. The absolute worst design trend in the history of technology. So ugly and so dumb.
Would you rather have less screen real estate at the top of the device??? The notch gives the new iPhones a distinct look. And it’s necessary for Face ID.

I'm not sure what my motivation will be to upgrade this year but 3 lenses is not it. If the photos are better that is fantastic but it's not on my current list of complaints. USB C would be nice to go with my iPad Pro but still not enough. Can't wait to see what they announce. I like new phones but its getting harder to update often.

I agree. I enjoy technology, but the buzz is gone — especially at $1,000.

The notch reduces screen real estate as it cuts into the screen. And it is absolutely not necessary for face ID. The ugly notch was designed to reduce the size of the bezel, unnecessarily.

It's really ugly, which is why other manufacturers are slowly leaving the dumb idea in the dust. It already looks old and outdated.

Apple used to be about great, timeless industrial design. That notch is the opposite.

Johnathan Ive is overrated. Without Steve Job, his design sucks..

Lmao. Ok. No other company can even come close to copying apples Face ID tech. Most of the other phones with or without notches still have forehead and chins.

But, OTOH, you would rather have bigger bezels and less screen real estate instead of a notch, which that part of the screen is something that isn’t really used or functional to a user other than aesthetic design value?

I bet you don’t even own an iPhone with a notch.

Again, the notch *reduces* screen real estate. There would be more screen real estate without a notch and with face ID instead included in a top bezel. Something that cuts into the screen does not give you more screen. That is simple common sense.

And no, I do not own any iPhone with a notch and I never will. I would never purchase any phone with a notch cutting into the screen. I would never purchase a laptop with a notch or obstruction cutting into the screen or a TV with an obstruction on the screen. Never.

But you’re missing my point. A top and bottom bezel reduces the screens real estate. Whereas a bezeless design where a small notch comes from the top of the screen, which is the best spot for it. There isn’t much to look at at the top of the screen. This is why many android companies are following the notch trend.
