Are you forgetting that 10.6.2 was linked with the i7 release in the 27" iMac. You can't say there is NO reason to assume that 10.6.3 is linked with another hardware update.

There is no reason to assume the two are linked. New Macs often come with special builds of the current release, then are folded into the common release train at the next point update.

I guess the iPad is Apple's only concern for the next month, as both 10.6.3 and the sorely needed MBP updates have all but disappeared from their radar. Well, to be fair, the lack of MBP updates is also partly Intel's fault, with their attempt to squeeze NVIDIA out of the market with their craptastic integrated GPU and chipset lockout. Too bad Apple won't grow a pair, disable the integrated Core i5 GPU and just go with an ATi discrete GPU.

Wow, Apple is either thoroughly making sure this update is as close to perfect as any can be, or, they are focusing on something else more important at the moment LOLOL....

Yeah. The good news is that the problems being resolved in this update will be pretty solid. The bad news is, we potentially will have to wait longer for any other problems (Finder External Disk Crashing) to get fixed. Luckily, I haven't had the Finder Error lately.

Also, if the update doesn't come out today, we're overdue for a new seed.

I haven't had the Finder error myself, but I cannot connect to my Time Capsule Network drive thru it's Alias - keep getting the original cannot be found error. As far as a new seed, I totally agree with you 100%. If nothing appears today, this will be a whole week since anything has even been mentioned about 10.6.3.
