hole punch!

I have heard of slight variations with sizing for screen protectors beyond just the whole for the camera so I would recommend a little research. I'm not 100% sure -- so just a word of caution.. It'd suck to assume it'd fit and have to buy a second one..

OP,

Would be nice to see the side by side with the SGP ultra fine which is the better of their AF products.

i was just curious, as i am thinking of ordering the power support ag, how does a stylus work with the anti glare on? i currently have the wacom bamboo and the joy factory davinci. does it degrade the response at all?

I see this thread was started in 2010, does anybody know if SGP has the same quality of the screen protector now? I'm thinking getting SGP screen protector because of the price. I see SGP screen protector (Ultra Optics) for $21.99 and Power support (HD Anti-Glare Film) for $32.95, but I'm not sure if it's more worthy to pay $10 more to get Power Support one.:)

That's amazing. Is there any comparisons from other protectors? I know Amazon sells a bunch of legit ones.

I have the SGP UO. I hate it. You still get a healthy glare with a generous dose of rainbowing and fingerprints to boot and to top it off, swiping with your finger makes noise...like a record scratching noise. The problem I'm having is if glare was my issue and I'm still getting it with the UO then why not just go naked or clear. So....

Im purchasing a PS HD from PS..

I will say that the UO doesn't degrade the clarity of the retina display. It is probably as good as the Powersupport on that level. But with the glare, rainbowing, fingerprints and sounds...it makes it an awful choice for me.

ughh.. really? You hate it? I'm thinking getting UO because they are giving out free case and skin with purchase of UO..... Now, i'm in between spending $10 more for better quality vs. getting a free case, skin and low quality..:confused:

Go for it to get the free case. Maybe ur experience will be better. I have the UO for my iPad 2 and I still have my iPad 2. I will take photos of it side by side with my new iPad in the same light so u can see.

Just know if u have any issues SGP can be a pain. Purchase with a cc that overs buyer protection.

The SGP Ultra Optics AG does suck. The rainbow effect will drive you crazy.

I do like the SGP ultrafine, but even it takes too much away from the Retina display.

So, no protector for me. Instead I keep a shaggymac between the ipad and the smartcover.

Great cloth that shaggymac!

Thanks for the advice. i will just get Optics since it comes with a free case and skin. If i don't like it, I will find another one. :(. I don't think $29 is not a big loss for a case, skin & screen protector. It will still protect the screen. :)

When you get it report back with your thoughts on the product. Also tell us what they sent you as a case and skin.

Thank you! Will be picking up the HD Anti-Glare for my iPhone 4 and New iPad

Does anyone know any coupon codes for Powersupport?

I just ordered a crystal power support. Pretty damn expensive for just one film..

I wouldn't buy any protectors but Power Support. Definitely worth the added cost. I prefer the crystal PS and I find them easy to apply, excellent quality and long lasting. I have been able to keep them on for pretty much the life of the products. I find the crystal actually enhances the screen - takes nothing away from clarity or feel of swiping but reduces fingerprinting.

I was both excited & worried about my order on Ultra Optics, so i googled ultra optics and found a review on iLounge. I think they JUST brought up the newest Optics according to the review. It makes me feel better now! haha I will just link it if you might be interested in. :)

I noticed this thread is old, But I have to say that PS screen shields are awesome. I still have the same Crystal shield on my iphone4 since the phone came out and looks great. Doesn't even feel like I have a shield on at all. The only problem with getting it for the ipad3 is the price point, You only get 1 and if you screw it up your out $32.95 lol. But it's worth it if you want that crystal clear look on it. Just take your time installing it.

I have the new UO released a few weeks ago on my new iPad. I have the old UO I bought a few months ago on my iPad 2.

U do what you need to do just report back what u think once you get it installed. I bought a power support for my new iPad today.

The iPad 3 is on the left. The new UO is a teeny tiny bit clearer than older UO the iPad 2. In this photo they are both off, not using a black image.

Both screen brightness are on high using the same white screen test image. The Rainbowing is more pronounced on the iPad 2 because the screen is brighter and bluer than the iPad 3. But with that much glare why not go clear?

Wow you bought another Optics even if you don't like the first one? haha you are scaring me again! JK! I'm just still waiting for my package to arrive. I will post what I think after using the product. Thanks for the comparison!

No, I quite liked it on my iPad2 I only got the UO for the ipad 2 a month or so before I got the iPad 3. I waited for the UO to come out for the iPAd 3. I thought the 3 would be better and it wasn't plus it is more noisey than the ipad 2. I'm keeping the UO on my ipad 2 but switching to PS for my ipad3.

Okay! Finally I got my package of the "new" Ultra Optics. Overall, I like it. Of course it has glare when it's off, but it's not buggy to me. I was a little bit worried about zipzip sound, but it's pretty unnoticeable unless I really pay attention. :) I bet many people like the optics so far. I have been reading reviews on their product page (http://www.spigen.com/tablets/apple...e-wifi-screen-protector-steinheil-series.html), and many people have bought it and liked it according to the review.

For the most, I'm so happy that I got all free gift along with it! It's a white snap on case. I posted a picture here: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1381297/

Thanks for your advice! :)
