making a round smartwatch involves some trade offs, such as UI changes and such.

in short, he said just because a rolex is round, an apple watch doesn't have to be.

Anyone who is using Android Wear, is there a way to stop the random steps and weather cards from popping up at random times or anytime you are deleting a text?

Is it paired with an iOS device or Android? If Android, try going into your Google Now settings and turn off weather updates.

AW is nothing more than a tethered iPhone accessory. Until that changes, which may never happen, AW is merely a gadget.

Well it's a "gadget" regardless, and being an iPhone accessory doesn't mean it's not worth it. I do wish it could function on it's own though, or at least with ANY iOS device or Macintosh, even if it stays tethered to Apple stuff.
