Does it look off-white or pure white in incandescent lighting?

I just put it next to a piece of white paper… looks white to me.

And I have 2900K LED lighting.

Nice! Not sure what to do, so torn on this.

I really want to change to a white iphone 4 but I don't really think its a good idea since I do alot of traveling and I dont want to be in the spotlight. The white one will attract more attention and it might get stolen in europe somewhere when I am traveling about over there. I really wanted white iPad also but I know it won't do me any good b/c it might attract everyones attention about and might be stolen.

So use a Bluetooth headset.

This may be attributed to the glue or the led backlighting needing some time for "break-in" period, according to some folks. You could wait a couple days and see if the yellowing lightens up a bit.

My iPad had a noticeable yellowing for the first few days. I noticed it has gotten lighter and more blue after use, but it's still more yellow than my MacBook Pro.

I really wanted the white last summer, and I still want it, but I won't be spending that much money for a color change especially with the iPhone 5 on the horizon.

Edit: Hmmm, AT&T says that I can get the white iPhone 4 for an $18 upgrade fee and a 2 year extension. I can sell my current iPhone and cover the cost. How badly will I want the iPhone 5, wonder?

I ended up leaving without getting it, even though there's a return window with no restocking fee if I don't like it. I actually told one of the employees that I wanted it, and as he was logging in to get one, I changed my mind.

Still not sure if I want it. I guess I'll think about it.

what if you're already white? :p i did the conversion a while back and love it... although i might get new parts because my front is yellowish (probably from a bad batch :()

I bought one today but I still haven't synchronized it with my iTunes library. Tomorrow I will be back home and will then start using my new baby :)
I prefer white than black, and despite the fact that I had a black iPhone since last July, I bought the white model.

If I were you, I'd wait. You'll be aching for the 5 come release date. Hang in there. :)

I just upgraded my line and gave it to my girlfriend. She wanted it so bad she said she'd buy me a Playstation3 for the trade… We are on a family plan and she has the black 16gb right now which I'm putting up on craigslist later lol. Her upgrade isn't until JanuaryFeburary so I can wait a few months for the iphone5 or just sell mine on craigslist in September. I must say though the white iphone is awesome looking!

I've gotta say, after being on here all these years you really realize how many of us are early adopters/gadget freaks. Seems a majority of the people on here getting the white iPhone are people who already have a black one.

I'd love to make the switch, but it's hard to justify when I'm not eligible for an upgrade and won't be until Nov '11 (at which time the iPhone 5 better be available).

Paid a friend a small amount to buy a white iPhone 4 with their upgrade and trade for my black one.

Now I am loving my white iPhone 4 :)

I managed to sold my black iPhone for 300€, so the white iPhone costed 329€ for me. It was certainly worth the money :) I love the color.

Once you go black, you never go back.

Word.

I thought it was "once you go Black you get a wheelchair?"
