I saw this on an Ebay glass protector:

" **Please note: The new iPhone 6 have a curved edge display, meaning the tempered glass screen protectors won't be able to fully cover the screen. The edge of the display will not be covered. All tempered glass protectors are hard and cannot be bend. Thank you.** "

the edge of the display will not be covered? How much is not covered?

I'm assuming most dry-install screen protectors will look like this.

....you see , these are exactly my questions as well:

How would these glass protectors work with the iPhone 6 then?

I assume that ALL glass screen protectors are gonna be dead flat but isn't the screen of the iPhone 6 slightly curved at the edges (where it seamlessly meets the side of the phone)?

How would a glass screen protector work?!

Would it just cover the illuminated part of the screen and not go to the edge of the actual whole glass screen?!

FYI: just a heads up. I bought a 6 pack of this brand's plastic screen protectors and rec'd yesterday. I overlaid one on the i6 template posted on Gadget Hacks and the camera/speaker cutout was way off and did not fit the entire face of the phone. I then measured the "screen" on the template to make sure I printed it actual size and it was 4.7".

It may be that Gadgethacks template is in error but one of these two is incorrect.

It doesn't seem that there are any great screen protectors out as of yet… they all either have ugly cutouts or no cutouts for the light sensor / camera on the front? I just ordered some cheap Spigen clear protectors for the time being (doesn't have camera cutout). PowerSupportUSA hopefully should get some out in a week or two probably.

...if you're getting a glass screen protector, why do you want a cut out for front camera and light sensor? My SGP Glass TR doesn't have any of these cut outs and it works fine!

The Spigen GLAS.tR SLIM now shows out of stock until September 30th. I wonder if this is truly a supply issue or if they are making alterations due now having official phone specs. I have an order in on Amazon that is actually supposed to ship today or tomorrow. Not sure if it will ship now.

...thats the one I was gonna buy from Amazon but not really liking the way the home button has been cut on it (doesn't go all the way around). I am hoping they will release the Glass TRs with the glass which does indeed go all around the home button.

I'm guessing this is due to the curved glass at the bottom. Seems like all I have seen so far have this design.

Curved screen means ugly cut outs gor screen protectors. They have experience with this because of android and windows phones.

Me too. I hope they'll let us return it if they release a "correct one" that covers the curved edge.

I hope the latter.

These screen shields for the iPhone 6 are driving me mad

It seems that all the screen shields are gonna end up looking like this (due to the iPhone 6's curved screen):

Media Devil Screen Shield

...don't think it looks very nice:(

Wish it covered the whole front but does cover the whole screen. I'll be getting a glass protector, better than paying $200 for a cracked 6 plus screen.

....the glass protectors wont cover the whole front either due to the curved iPhone 6 front (unless the protectors are curved themselves)!

I would order as well but it doesn't show the actual product as I am worried it will also have ugly cutouts.

I ordered the GLAS.tR Slim from Amazon as well. Unfortunately when I received it this afternoon the top end (around the ear cut out) came out of the package already cracked and broken, so I won't be able to use it tomorrow. The package it came in is fine, so it must have been a QC issue at manufacturing.

For those considering this option, the cover doesn't have any curve on the edges to match the screen of the phone. I will say the cutout around the home button does make sense to me, as it allows for your finger to lie flat for the Touch ID Sensor.

I just came back from a local AT&T store to see if there was a line forming and to purchase the jabra stealth. They had the iphone 6 and 6 plus accessories out and I picked this up. That's an iphone 4 for size comparison - shield if for the iphone 6 plus

i got the Zagg glass for the iPhone plus, its to wide and to "tall". meaning the screen protectors goes over the curved edged at the sides and top and bottom. Obviously that portion does not stick

I just applied mine a little while ago and you are definitely correct. Mine isn't sticking fully at the bottom and a little at the top and sides. And its probably aligned as good as you can get it as well, just a few dust specks. Probably gonna go return it at Best Buy in a few days as long as they don't give me a problem.

I already have some Xtreme Guard back protectors possibly coming tomorrow or Monday so I'll probably pick up a few for the screen with how stupidly cheap they are and use that. At least that will cover the entire screen since its a wet apply.

Spigen's glass screen protector has a sizing problem.

Due to the curve of the phone's glass, screen protectors cannot fully reach the edges of the phone.

However, Spigen's glass screen protectors do not fully cover the LCD screen on the sides. This causes a "rainbow" effect with the screen on. This is very annoying. I think that Spigen could've extended the sides a TINY BIT more to cover the screen, and it shouldn't interfere with the curve still.

Just thought I'd share that with others who are thinking if they should purchase it or not. Also, if anyone else has problems with other brands, please share the info for others to be informed about them. I contacted Spigen to let them know about this, so I hope they do something about it.

Sorry that the lightning is bad, but just thought I'd share this for anyone wondering what I'm talking about.

*I heard Zagg's screen protector is too big and sticks out where the phone curves? Can anyone confirm (possibly with photos, it will help greatly)

I got a Tech Armor. It's my first glass screen protector (figures that I would start now - ha). It leaves about 1/8th inch all the way around due to the curved edge. It doesn't look horrid, but you can feel it.

I also had to reset it once and got a fingerprint under the upper left corner. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about that.

Pictures (pardon the blur - I have a tremor and focus is a bear):

They updated them and sending original buyers the new version. I'm assuming you have the first version?
