Happy, Heck yes, overjoyed? absolutely!

I fell in love with the 11" because of the iPad.
We have 3 iPads,( couch surfing ) and 3 2010 11'MBA's with the NVIDIA Graphics, 4 GB Ram,and a OWC 480 GB SSD in each. These MBA's SCREAM with these SSD's, and I could not be happier.
My Daughter use's hers for her Masters Studies, and my wife and I run our business with ours.
I am convinced whatever flavor of MBA you may choose, they all are awesome machines!

what is so disappointing about the screen? i mean the viewing angle could be wider, but it is pretty nice.

The colors are a bit off compared to a MBP 15'. The brighter colors are a bit dull and the darks are not that dark. I think it's because only the MBA screen only covers a certain RGB spectrum, which is much lower than the MBP. After some calibration it's probably be better, but it's not a dealbreaker and it's still much better than most laptop screens. But at $1600, it would have been nice to get a slightly sharper screen.

I've a maxed 13", it's a wonderful piece of kit. Does everything I want from a laptop, the res is perfect for the size of screen(for me), it's blazing fast, yet to get even vaguely hot (i7 here) and the battery life is epic. Screen res and battery life is what sold it to me above the 11", itself an amazing machine. Couldn't be happier, absolute pleasure to use.

I bought a base 13" with the HE discount. A great machine, works pretty much how I want it to. Still finding my way around shortcuts and the like but even after 10 years of Windows I hadn't really used that many.

The Magic Trackpad is definitely the best part of the whole set up. BetterTouchTool makes it all very program-specific and even after only a few days I find myself trying to gesture on normal trackpads and wondering why nothing happens!

13" i7.

What to say and not sound like a fanboy?

I really wish I can find something I don't like. I am really, thoroughly happy with my purchase. I still from time to time lift the notebook and rotate it looking, admiring, wondering just how were they able to fit stuff into something so thin.. I think I am in love :)

Of course, there are other thin notebooks out there... But this one is my first, so I am full of admiration.

I think Apple is causing my geekiness to surface, increase... Every time I buy a Mac, I become more and more impressed.. Air has just added to that..

See, sounding like a fanboy.

I am not.. I am trying hard to find a reason to complain.. but I am not able to.

Ok.. let me rain on the parade and say that I am also very happy with my bootcamped W7.. And IE9 too.. It is a very interesting age to be using the machines and software.. Being able to use OS X and W7 is simply great.

So, to conclude.. I am very happy.

Air is simply an amazing machine...

I was beyond Happy with the 2010 model and I'm once again beyond happy with the 2011 model.

13" ultimate both times.

11" owner...

I am using a i5/64/2 currently --- i5/128/4 is on its way, and I am very impressed with the performance that this very small computer generates. I have found yet to find anything not to my liking.

Handbrake is a breeze, plays 1080 content without stuttering, and the fans have been totally silent, even when I attempted to play 1080p movie while encoding. I had it hooked up to my ACD earlier, and it was as much fun to use on my lap, as sitting at my desk.

I really don't care about the controversy surrounding the screen/SSD, even though I have the cough **inferior" combo; life is really too short to obsess about such trivialities, IMHO.

I have the base 2010 11" model, and I love mine. Wish I had the backlit keyboard that the 2011 has, but that's the only thing that I regret not having, so it's not worth the money for the upgrade. Computer does what it's supposed to do, which is allow me to write and surf the web wherever I want, without having to cart my heavy MacBook Pro. It's not my primary computer, so it doesn't have to be super fast. Although it still is, which is awesome.

There are a few things that bother me about my new 13". Particularly the battery life; I am not getting anywhere close to the 7 hours promised, more like 5-6 hours on light browsing on Chrome (little to no flash), MS Word, and some music. Nothing else really intensive. I'm hoping after a few cycles I'll see a better return.

There are also a few minor things that bug me: the instant on is not instant at all, especially after deep sleep. And the Facetime camera isn't HD.

Having said that, I do love my Air for everything else it does well. : )

Hopefully this is just a bug that a Lion or firmware update will address. I noticed this, too. Also, deep sleep seems to drain the battery faster than it did in the 2010s, and I've noticed that my Mac "forgets" which wi-fi networks are preferred when it wakes up from deep sleep (not from regular sleep). That said, when waking up from regular sleep, I find it connects to wi-fi a bit quicker than my 2010 did.

truly sad.
This is my 6 months-waited precious MBA 13 with i7, it's amazing, except, its dark screen. from the bottom to 1.5cm it has dark shadow.
Moreover, this is what I can't stand, the screen is so waaay grainy than my MBP2010, I can see some sort of 'lines'. Especially when launched Launchpad.

Did I get a lemon? Or the worst display? It's: LP133WP1-TJA3
I'm thinking about genius bar to ask them for a replace. Unfortunately in my country once you break the seal you can't return it so...

somebody help. :(

I have the 11.6 2011

This thing is the fastest computer I have ever owned. Smokes my 2008 iMac 2.8. yea I get 3-5 hours depending on what I do but its the size of a netbook but the power of a desktop. No complaints here.

It's nice to come here and see a thread which is about people being happy with their purchase and not whining and bitching about it.

But I digress this is the best laptop I have ever owned and trust me I have owned some very nice laptops in the past, Vaio Z been one of them and this little beast 13/4/128 i5 beats them all.

Got the sammy ssd and sammy display but either way I would be more than happy whichever 'internals' I ended up with.

Don't ever play games so the HD 3000 never bothered me but I do a lot of VT so the extra cpu horsepower comes in very handy.

I cannot think of any reason why anyone would dismiss these lovely little machines for a new purchase.

Never purchased apple care before as I normally always sell the laptop before it even hits 12 months but this time I am going to as I don't plan on upgrading this one anytime soon.

I feel extremely fortunate to own one. I know people are spendng a lot of money and want the best of everything, but in the middle of us worrying about what screen or ssd we got there are people going hungry without jobs, etc. The fact is that all of us should be counting our blessings.

I couldn't be happier with my MBA.

I sold my 2010 13" mbp to a friend, which was working perfect for me and I loved it dearly. However, I just couldn't get over how small the 11inch was, and how it would really be my "iPad". I've wanted an iPad/2 since release, and with it jailbroken, i can use everything I need. However, i didn't want to risk it, and couldn't afford to make it my only portable device. The 11inch is awesome, perfect companion. It doesn't sound like a big difference in what I had, but walking around a 56 acre campus is going to be much easier now. Plus, I'll still have debian installed for my work and CS classes. I'm a VERY VERY happy camper.

love my 11, 128GB SSD and 4GB RAM.

Best laptop I've ever owned and goes everywhere with me.

I don't care what screen/ssd makes I have, seems to be a thing people on here are looking at.

I've had my MacBook Air 11 2010 Ultimate for about a few months. Even though I recently got the i7 15 MBP, the Air has been the best thing to take while traveling or carrying in my man bag during the weekends. Also takes very little space if I have to stop by a coffee shop to run a report and hardly any performance is sacrificed for the size. Makes a great HTPC too when connected through the HDMI cable to my plasma TV in the living room! Best $600 ever spent! Thank you Craigslist!

I'v been using Mac's since early 90's and can honestly say that my new 256 11 i7 is the best mac I have ever owned. Its so fast, easy to carry around with you, fast screen switching in full page apps, its fantastic.
