I came from a ciirca 2004 ibook G4 that has been crashing after 30 mins of use recently. So my i7 256gb 13" MBA is heavenly!

Is there any major difference in spec to the 11" and 13" with the i5 and 4gb RAM? I know there is some difference in the speed of the HD3000 graphics - GPU clock of 1.15mhz vs 1.2mhz. Would there be any significant difference in gaming?

The difference in the HD3000 is negligible and has little impact on gaming. However, the 1.7GHz i5 in the 13" can turbo boost to 2.4GHz when running both cores while the 1.6GHz i5 in the 11" can only turbo boost to 2.0GHz. The AnandTech review goes into more detail on this, but in short, the i7 upgrade is much more meaningful on the 11" than the 13".

Just exchanged the i5 128GB 11.6 for the i7 256GB 11.6 and I am very happy with it so far. Heat hasn't been too bad and the speed is a bit more noticeable than the i5. I needed the 256 GB drive it turned out and that's the main reason I upgraded from the i5. Since the Apple Store only carries the "Ultimate" version of the 11.6 with the 256 drive, that's what I got. I was happy with the i5, but I am MORE than happy with my new i7, 256 :)

I am esctatic about my 13/1.7/128. I've owned every generation of the Air and this is a brilliant evolution.

My new 11", i7, 128GB is fantastic.

Its ultra fast, screen is awesome, not too small at all and it works like a charm with old external monitor. Loving the track pad and movements. I learned it very fast.

It was a joy to put in my back pack when I left home. I dont even notice I have laptop with me. :D

I have owned every version of the air. This by far is the best. I have the 11 ultimate. I wanted the 11 since it came out last year, but the SSD was too small. I use this as my only machine. I connect to the ACD at work and home. I travel a lot for work and use it on the road. It's a powerhouse of a machine. I thought I would miss the 13" ultimate, but haven't even looked back. I didn't realize how much I missed the backlit keyboard till I have it again. I got the Speck clear cover for both machines and for some odd reason it would crack on the 13 but really holds up well on the 11. It's really a great machine. I LOVE IT!!!!! Great job Apple!

Oh, if space becomes an issue, I am thinking of getting the Other World Computing (Macsales.com) SSD that will hold 480 gigs! As I said before, this is my only machine.

I opted for lower space (128GB). I am saving the money to external drive with at least 2TB of space. Possibly thunderbolt RAID. I will keep my music and picture libraries there. And possibly virtual machine datafiles. Dont need to carry everything with me always.

and maybe someday I will buy a larger SSD since they can be replaced on air.

13in/1.7 i5/256 GB. The system runs great and I haven't seen any fans running yet although I have yet to test this machine to its full capability. This is a cool laptop....probably the best one I've ever owned.

only had it for a day and a half but so far I am loving it. My first mac and am still learning the ways of the mac, but very impressed so far. Only real complaint, if you'd even call it that, is the keyboard feels way different then every computer, laptop or desktop I have ever used. I don't know if it that the keys are spaced out from each other or so flat, just going to take me a little time to get used to. Its not that I don't like it, its just different.

Overall I think the thing is awesome.
