at AT&T store in sburg, sc... about 23 people in line @ 7:15am.. rumor is 40 phones in the store. not sure if its 40 of each or what.

I'm in line at the AT&T store in Lafayette, CA. Only 4 of us (one of them being a cop). This is as of 4:38am.

Accordig to a friend there is about 75 people in the Apple store in south Hills Village Pittsburgh. He also reported that there is about 100 people in line at the AT&T Store.

Already home. No iphone for us yet. Apple only sent 20 phones total to our local AA&T store in Lynchburg. We were there at 6am and were number 20 and 21 in line. Wanted 16gb, but they only had 10 of them and they were all gone by the time they got to us in line to start filling out the forms. Then we were told that if we did the order, we would have to wait until "our" phones came in, meaning if they get more today or tomorrow, we can't have those. :( So we are home empty handed, will drive back over later today in hopes that maybe another shipment has came in. If not, I guess we will have to order and then wait again for them to come in. The guy working the line said it was a huge "joke" that they only got 20 in, they got 30 in last year for the first launch. Guess I'll never understand if there isn't a shortage, then why not supply more on the first day.

Oak Brook, IL?

So, I can't wait in line since I have kids at home and I agreed to babysit my friend's daughter this AM. So, I have to take it like a grown up and try later.

I have long waited for this one...I have NEVER had an iPod, and my current cell phone is seriously outdated. Makes me feel old, but at least my hubby has an iPod, albeit a second generation one.

So, maybe later this morning when after I am done babysitting and OUR babysitter comes, I can head over to Oak Brook Mall to the Apple store.

What's the line like there?

I'd say that there are probably about 20 people in line so far at the Ventura, CA ATT store. Its 5.15am and supposedly 50 phones in stock but no break down on the models.

In line at a AT&T store in Lancaster, CA. Looks like I'm 11th in line with 6 behind me. Hopefully I get my hands on a White one. :D

went to Seekonk, MA AT+T store, was about #30 in line at 7AM. the manager came out at 7:30 and told us "we only have 20 phones total, because a plane got caught up somewhere. our total shipment was supposed to be 40 phones."

So, i left and went to providence place mall apple store at about 8AM, and saw what looked like 250+ people in line.

lol... no iphone for me this AM, i may try back again later tonight or on Sunday AM.

Sounds like there is pretty low stock. Not like last year. I think Apple wants a sell out. It will be all over the news, and more people will want it.

At the smaller of the two AT&T stores in Lakewood CA. 27 people in line as of 5:55 with a rumored 30 phones total. The larger store already had what seemed like 30+ at 4:50.

I was #1 at the smaller AT&T store in Avon, IN. There were close to 30 or more people in line. I don't have a clue how many phones though...

There were still people pulling in the lot as I was leaving.

Arizona Chandler Mall Apple

Just got here about 20 people in front of me.....Hopefully they have enough for me to get a 16gb black

AT&T Store in Middletown, CT

Just got to work, went the Middletown, CT AT&T store. I got there at 6:30am, and my timing was perfect. When I got there there were 2 people in line, I was 3rd. Within about 15 minutes there were maybe another 10 or so. Staff came out about 7:45am to tell people what the eligibility was, and they were selling for full price. They only had 30 in stock. I was in and out in about 15 minutes, fairly easy process, especially when they saw I had the orig. iPhone. I'd guess there were about that many people in line so they may be sold out shortly.

2 Stores I figured would have small lines if anything at all...didn't have small lines.
St. Charles, IL - west of the Charlestown Mall on Route 64. Probably 30-40 people in line at least. Around 7:30am

Geneva, IL - North of Faybyan Parkway on Randall Road. Also Probably 30-40 people in line at least. Around 7:50am.

Ugh. Hope they get daily shipments both today and tomorrow...they're going to need them I believe.

Going to check later around 2-3pm to see if they still have some.

Bethesda, MD

as of 9am, 100+ (maybe 200) in line, down the block all the way to the middle of the Barnes and Noble (if you know the street).
