I scored two iPhone 6 Plus 64 GB Silver AT&T thanks to istocknow.com and using their live-map to find these devices in stock. That website works like a charm! The trick is to keep tabs on that website between the times of 12 am to 5 am and then pounce on the model you want once it shows its available for pickup at a local Apple store. You just need to order it ASAP once it takes you to the Apple store online because there might be other night owls that are doing the same thing and vying for the same device as you.

I have a question about using the pickup option on apple.com.
If I choose this option, do I have to pay immediately the phone online or is it just some kind of reservation with the possibility to pay at the
Store when picking up the phone?And does the person who has reserved the phone has to be the person picking it up?
Let me explain myself, I'm abroad and my sister is in the US. I want her to pickup the phone for me, if I reserve the phone with my appleid, can she say she's picking up the reservation for me or does she need a reservation under her name?
It may be a stupid question but I don't want to miss the iPhone 6 because of something stupid!

You have to pay immediately.
For the in-store pick up as long as you put your sister's name in the box where it says "Who will be picking up the item" you should be fine.
Did you find a 6 or 6 plus at West Towne? I've been checking online nonstop and stop by the store a few times a week but still no luck. Last Friday they got a big shipment in on 6 pluses but I was out of town unfortunately. I'll be hanging around there tomorrow to see if the same thing happens this week.
I've seen a ton of 6/128's and 6/16's show up in ATL since yesterday, so many there's still a t-mobile 6/128 sitting available.
I've seen one single 6/64 t-mobile flash by since 10/13 and it was gone before I could snag it.
If looking for a 6/64 I recommend just ordering online for delivery. I ordered 10/21 and it's already shipped with expected delivery early next week. The shipping estimates online are very conservative.

Does anyone know if shipments to the Apple Store are made available right away or are they held until the next day? I've gotten conflicting answers from Apple Store employees when I ask that question. Some tell me to wait around between 11-1 and others say it's a waste of my time because they are held until the next day.
From my experience you just go and stand in whatever line there might be before the store opens and if the store has one that you want you can reserve it for that day. What I don't get is every employee I talked to, they all said they have no clue what they are going to get yet in the morning they can tell you what will be in stock

Corporate doesn't tell the store what they're shipping. The store finds out when they get the shipment. If the shipment is opened and processed in by the after hours folks, nobody in the front is going to have any idea what's coming until they get there in the morning before opening.
They have a ton of the Gold 6. Are you talking about 6+?

Yes, Tuesday or Wednesday would be more likely to be successful.
Whether it's worth it is a crap shoot. No telling what a particular store will get or how many others may be lining up. If you have nothing else to do then sure why not, but worth it to take off from work to go? Probably not.
For a 6 though just order online for delivery. Apple seems to be shipping substantially sooner than the quoted 7-10 business days; mine shipped in three business days.
I couldnt find anything better than a 16GB TMo from TMo. Didnt like having to delete this to download that, so I brought it back. Every Best Buy around me had Verizon 128GB models in stock. So I bought it, popped in my TMobile sim before ever turning it on. Works perfectly for me. Didnt have to change a thing. I'm sure it would work for your AT&T too. BB lists them for $50 more than everyone else, but they price matched it to Verizon off contract price for me.
The stock for personal pickup is updated at the following times (usually within 30 minutes after these times):

So basically they may have the phones we are looking for but it never updates online because they sell out. Right? I go to the store a few times a week and they always say the website is live but I really do not believe that it is.
Believe or not, I've snagged two in-stock pickup orders thanks to the website.
Yes, but also realize they're approximate times. As I've been chasing I've often seen updates it at 15 or 20 minutes past the hour. Or no real update at my local stores. Restock amounts and types can vary tremendously.

I got incredibly lucky today!! iPhone 6 plus 64gb t-mobile space gray. I hung around the mall from 12-1. Walked in at 1 and they just got a huge shipment in which wasn't online yet. Needless to say I'm very happy. Good luck guys!

I usually have only seen restocks on Sunday mornings in my area. Other than at like 3 am
