This is exactly why I'm just going to go to the store tonight. Hopefully the same exact thing happens :D

Best of luck. Tuesdays seem to have been the heavier refill days last couple weeks.

If no success, remember also that real world delivery times on the 6's seem to be a week despite Apple claiming "ships in 7-10 business days".

I want the 6+ though, it's proven difficult lol

Fingers crossed tonight

I usually have only seen restocks on Sunday mornings in my area. Other than at like 3 am

Good luck! I've spent many days there between 11:30-1 and today was the first that I got lucky.

If you see stock online, then it's gone, go to the store anyway. The apple employee that helped me told me the online stock is 25% of what the get in and rest is reserved for walk in traffic. That's how I got my 64S+

I went last night to my local Apple and they said they do waaay more online reserves because they want actual customers getting these and not the scalpers. My local store was literally 0 stock last night

I saw how thin the 6+ was last night and I can see why the phone is bending with applied forced.

I managed to catch the restock wave at like 4:30 Am and bought the SG 6 128GB. I finally got lucky all the way through the checkout page

I got lucky and was able to do a store pick up for an iPhone 6 SG 64GB at Apple store in Columbia MD. I was getting tired of waiting for ATT to deliver the phone. Waiting for the 6+ for wife is still on going.

My email just blew up with multiple istocknow alerts for 128GB Gold 6+ (AT&T and T-Mobile) here in Raleigh, NC.

Just FYI, because they might be dropping in some other cities for you unicorn hunters.

:)

NO success Yet

I cannot for the life of me grab one of the T-Mobile 64 GB (Any color is fine but Silver is preferred) iPhone 6 Pluses. I check the Apple Site frequently and am subscribed to istocknow. I have seen them available at the online store for pickup at stores near enough to me and I have gotten through the ENTIRE ordering process about 14 times. Every time I get to the final screen of "Make Purchase" or whatever it says, the screen acts likes it's processing my payment and then I get a message that says "Error Encountered" and I have to start again. By then, they are all gone and I'm screwed until the next time. It's really aggravating and really frustrating. I know it is for a lot of you too. Anyone have any idea how to get this thing before December? It's been almost 7 weeks since the preorder began and it's no better than it was. Ugh. Any tips or tricks that might actually work would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a piece of advice

Use the Apple Store app, leave the item in your cart, but don't check out. Whenever you see stock available, choose your preferred store and finish the payment processing.

Having express checkout helps greatly

I GOT ONE!!

Last Friday the Apple website said there were 64GB Space Grey iPhone 6+s for AT&T available at Apple Store near me. First time I called to order it was sold out while I was ordering. I decided to immediately call back and ended up getting one (strange I know). Went in store and picked it up. When I was setting it up in the store I noticed it had a stuck pixel. They said, Oh…hold on one second, and they cam back with ANOTHER exact phone in a new box and handed it to me. So technically I was able to score TWO Space Grey 64GB iPhone 6+s ;)

And if you all are wondering…its well worth the hunt…this phone is absolutely fantastic!

Suggestion (should work but can't verify 100%):
Prior to a wave (typically in the 30 minutes after 11am, 2pm, 7pm, and 2am Eastern) get the desired device set up in your cart in a second window. Proceed to checkout screens as if you were going to ship it, login to your account, and then sit at the Delivery & Pickup Options page.

When you see it in a nearby store via your other windows, go to the checkout window and select Pick Up and then "change store" to the store with it in stock and finish checkout.

This should shave a bunch of time off and increase your chances. Good luck.

BTW, you may have to back out to your card and restart the checkout periodically if your login times out.

I cannot use the Apple Store app to buy a T-Mobile iPhone. I am not given the option. Only stupid AT&T which is my current carrier. If I want anything else it tells me I have to go to the "full site" which puts me back at Square one. Thanks for trying though.

Okay do the following:

Log in to your Apple account
Set up your express checkout settings and enable it
Add your preferred configuration to your cart, but don't check out
When you see stock available, simply click your cart, click "pick up" and choose the store
And then finish the checkout process as quickly as you can

I've gotten the error like 5 times, and for the first time last night I finally got my order through for a pick up. Unless there's a huge order being delivered to your Apple store, you have to finish the process within like 45 seconds

I´m looking for a 64gb gold iphone 6 for att... does anyone know if stores are getting a varied stock or is it mostly 16 gb grey ones... i´m asking because on top of not many phones being available the ones that are are being bought every single day by chinese people standing in line at many apple stores across the country.

I´m tempted to go early to the nearest apple store and try to get the phone i`m looking for but i´m just not sure if the stores are getting any of this particular model.

I saw the same at my local Apple Store; a china man bought about 8 iPhones 6 and 6+ paid for in cash. I bet if you go as a china man for Halloween you will score yourself an iPhone. :p

HUGE influx of 6+'s in the NYC locations just now. ATT, T-Mobile > 16GB in various colors.

Thanks for the help

I listened to a few of you who said to set it up in my cart beforehand in one window and keep checking stock in another. It FINALLY worked. I had to get a 128 GB silver T-Mobile iPhone 6 Plus as opposed to the 64 GB that I needed but at least I have it and it is unlocked and I can use it with my AT&T account until I decided to drop them and go somewhere else. I appreciate everyone who replied and offered suggestions. Man what a frustrating endeavor. Good luck to anyone else who is looking for their elusive iPhone whether it be a 6 or 6 Plus. Apple people rock and are always extremely helpful. Thanks again. Off to setup my new phone.

Congrats! You'll use the 128GB. Fear not. :D

Another appeal for assistance

OK. Now that I got my new T-Mobile iPhone 6 Plus help me set it up right. I am an AT&T customer and want to use it with my AT&T account. I have an iPhone 6 that I regretted buying on launch day when I really wanted the 6 Plus. Can I just take the SIM card out of the regular 6 and put it in the 6 Plus? Do I need to activate the 6 Plus with the T-Mobile SIM that comes with it FIRST or do I insert the AT&T SIM from my regular 6 into the 6 Plus before I even turn on the phone for the first time? I don't want to screw this up after I've waited so long to get the phone I really wanted. My partner is going to take my regular 6. Does he need to get a new SIM card from AT&T? Do I need to notify AT&T that I am swapping my iPhone 6 for a 6 Plus and using the same SIM from the 6 in the 6 Plus? Do they not care or do they NOT like that? Thanks again in advance for your guidance. Hopefully there's not too many answers that contradict one another.

Take your SIM out of your 6, remove the T-mobile SIM from the 6 plus, and put your AT&T SIM in the 6 plus.

It should work right away.

Go to AT&T store and get a SIM for your partner (unless he's already got an AT&T smartphone that uses a nano SIM like the iPhone 6 uses). If he's already got one, just put his SIM in the 6 you're giving him and it should work.

If not, you need a new nano SIM from AT&T.

Once all that is done, you can let AT&T know that you paid cash for a 6 plus, and you can call to give them the IMEI number (it's on your phone box and you can also find it under Settings>About in the Settings menu of your new 6 plus). Of course, if you have to go to the store with your partner to get his phone fixed up with a new SIM, you can just give the rep in the store all the info about the phones and the rep can enter it in the system.

Do the same for your partner so they know what phone he's using. Again, can be done in store if you need to go there.

That's all there is to it.

Enjoy your new phone!

That is exactly what I did with my iphone6 TMO unlocked and my AT&T SIM from my 5S. Works like a champ.

Congrats on the new phone, glad the cart suggestion helped.

Same happened to me! I've had my phone for about 3 weeks now and I'm soooo glad I got 128gb instead of 64gb. I'm coming from a 16gb 4s, I'll never go back!
