I know there is a good portion of the MR community that got the MB version because JB was so backlogged on preorder day. So who has buyers remorse and wish they waited it out for the JB version?

Now that JB 7+ owners are getting their phones, seems like they are happy they got JB over MB.

All the JB needs is a transparent skin and you're set.

No not all jb too easy to mess up imo. Always wanted a matte black phone.

For the record, it's very misleading to say that the jet black scratches a lot easier. This isn't directed to OP, more directed to everyone who keeps saying it scratches easier; no it does not. The high gloss finish just makes the scratches a lot more VISIBLE to the eye. Everyone here who has a matte iphone may or may not have some minor scratches, it's just virtually invisible due to the finish. I promise you, if you take care of your matte colored iphone and there's no scratches, you won't have to worry about the jet black unless you treat it differently.

Until they offer high gloss candy apple red I'm just sticking a case on it anyways. So all I cared about was something with a solid black face to hide Apples archaic bezels.

No remorse here. LOVE the matte black. It's so well done. Plus I spent some time with the Jet Black iPhone 7 at the Apple Store and it reminds me too much of the 3GS. And not to mention how the fingerprints were messing with my OCD, even tho I wasn't my iPhone lol.

None at all. I cancelled my pre-order for the Jet Black and I'm glad I did. I am to anal about fingerprints and scratches, so I would most likely been unhappy with Jet Black.

Yes, it looks beautiful when it's clean, but if you've seen one in person, you'll realize that won't last.

How? Where/when did they have stock?

I was very lucky when I checked, online the Apple Store, very early morning this Wednesday. Reserved one and picked it up later that afternoon.
Got the jetblack now for 3 days, no visible scratches. Stellar design and really grippy (using it ofcourse without a case)

Jet black is a beauty. Love how it catches the light and how grippy it is. In fact, the finish is the biggest reason I'm keeping it and not going back to my 6S.

Can't see scratches from 12" away. If you put your nose to the phone and tilt it so it catches the light from the side, you can see them. I'm sure the same is true of the matte black.

Fingerprints as well. On the matte black they just look like they're pressed into sand; on the jet black they look like they're on glass.

Personal preference.

The skin has an orange peel effect to it (common for the Invisible Shield style skins) which looks horrid. Can clearly see it on your photos when viewed full size. They also feel "rubbery" which makes the look and feel of the Jet Black phone utterly redundant. You'd be as well sticking it in a case.

Nope, entirely different finish. The matte is far more "resilient" in that regard.

I think they both look great. I went for matte black, that was my choice of finish but as I always use a case anyway (I've just got the Apple black leather case for my 7+) so it doesn't really matter. :)

That skin... making me rethink my decision. I really like Silver (I love the white front) but... jet black, if it's not scratched...

I'm getting the JB 4.7 7. I'll be using a apple black leather case that I already have. Still waiting for the phone. (AT&T)

The case is purely because of grip. I've had a black leather case on my 6 for two years and everytime I take it off yes the phone looks great but the slippery feel is terrible and I put it right back into the case. So this makes me curious how grippy the new grip is on the JB. Probably won't feel as nice as the leather case. But if it does a few "micro abrasions" aren't going to bother me.

I'll probably leave it in the case most of the time except taking it in and out 3-4 times a week for running purposes. I'll report back when I finally get the jet black phone and let you guys know if more micro abrasions appear after taking it in and out of a case.

I played with a MB plus at my local att store (they had no JB) and yes it looks pretty cool. Just like a darker 6 or 6S and felt exactly the same. Didn't impress me as much as I was hoping. I'm still to see a JB in person but all the pictures excite me. And it's ok if I have to wipe the phone to see its shine every once and awhile. They are both great looking phones. But to answer the OP's question.... I think yes I'd feel remorse if I got MB instead of waiting for the JB if the JB is the color I wanted to begin with.

I really have no doubts. I planned on skinning the JB but I just preferred the look of matte. Once skinned no one is better than the other.
