Just got back from my try-on appointment. What everyone else is saying is true - the watches ARE indeed MUCH smaller in person than they look in the photos. Even in my own photos, the 42mm looks too big and the 38mm looks fine, but in person the 38mm felt VERY small.
The only exception to this that I found is with the Milanese Loop. It's silly that a different band makes such a big difference but I found that the 38mm aluminum with sport band felt tiny but the 38mm with Milanese Loop felt exactly right, even though rationally they are both the same size. I've attached some photos below.
PLEASE NOTE: I am aware that I am wearing the 38mm SS with Milanese Loop upside-down. I was not paying attention at the time and I know it looks kind of silly. It wasn't intentional.
when I first saw them in store, on display, I thought "oh 42mm for sure." After trying them on the 38mm looked better on me.
My "try on appointment" was this morning at 10AM. The 38MM is definitely small. To each their own, but it really felt like a woman's watch. The 42MM is smaller than I had imagined by the pictures but felt great.
I just came back from trying on the 38 vs 42 sport, and pre-ordered the 42 (already ordered 38 on launch day). The 38 seemed a bit too small.
Now my shipping went from late may to june![]()
Quite the opposite - preordered 38, liked the 42 more after trying them on. Wrist size 191mm. I preordered both, so I just cancelled the 38mm. Hopefully one of you will give it a good home!

I'm on the fence. This is the 42mm, my wrist is about 170View attachment 540271
After having my try on appointment today, I must say that I am happy I preordered the 38mm. I have 155mm wrists, and its so hard to tell size from cutouts. People kept saying both models look much smaller in person, and that is very true. However, once I tried on both sizes in several bands, I feel confident in my 38mm decision.
Hopefully these images can be of some help. I'm so excited to receive the watch![]()

The first image is the leather loop. 2nd and 3rd are the 42mm Milanese Loop. This size felt slightly lop sided, and I didn't like how the magnet went that close to the display to get a somewhat snug fit. 4th image is the 38mm SS Link, and that band was my absolute favorite. It looks so elegant, and felt very high quality. The last image is the 38mm Milanese Loop that I preordered at 2:04 am on April 10.

Anyone that went from 42 to 38 for the black sport interested in doing a local trade? I'm in CT.

The 38mm is tiny, ignore photos, period.
