Are all pink buckle orders July??!?!
I have 2 on order so pink and brown just seeing which one is going to be first and then cancel the other... if they ship same time I'm ********* lol
My pink modern buckle, ordered at 3:06 am Eastern on April 10, is May 13-27.
Here is the letter I emailed to Tim. I know many on this forum think it's dumb and a waste of time, but I feel better getting it off my chest, and if they hear from a lot of consumers, it MAY make a difference.
"Dear Tim:
First, I want to say what a fan of Apple I am. I have gotten every phone at launch since the 3GS, often waiting in line overnight (its FUN). Ive had every generation of iPad since the 2. We have two Apple TVs and multiple MacBook pros. I have an Airport Extreme. Everyone in our family has iPhones. Simply put, I love Apple. I love the vision and forward thinking of the company. I shed real tears and grieved when Steve died.
So, coming from that perspective, I do want to say how disappointed I am, that even though I stayed up all night on April 10, and ordered my 38mm Stainless Steel Apple Watch with the soft pink modern buckle by 3:06 am Eastern Time (I was delayed a bit by the wrong address being in my Apple Pay on the app), I found that at no time was the Modern Buckle even available in the first wave for shipping. Also concerning was the band was not available for purchase separately. At all. Ever. It is the only band for which this is the case. Then another thing that added to my concern was it seemed many of the Apple stores only had a small modern buckle band for try on, which couldnt even fit around my wrist. The sizes were not all available for try on (Ive been to two try on appointments to visit my watch). At the second try on, the store had a navy blue large modern buckle. Then I realized that not only would I not be getting my watch at launch, but the size I ordered was a little bit too large. I am hoping desperately that the stores will have some replacement stock so I can exchange it for a medium when I do receive it. It seems obvious there is some production issue with this band in particular. My theory is that they are made of unicorn leather, and you ran out of unicorns much earlier than expected.
I understand at no time was I promised a launch day delivery of my watch (I got May 13-27), and my credit card has not been charged yet, but I am sorely disappointed that this is the first launch item that I stayed up for, ordered within 5 minutes of the store going up, and still will not receive my watch for possibly a month after launch.
I guess what Im asking is that if there is a problem with this band (and for my friends who ordered link bracelets also, who are in the same boat) that you let your fans and customers know, so we can stop obsessively refreshing our phones and having dreams about our watches that we dont have yet."
