They had to have made a few, or we wouldn't be seeing celebrities wearing the Modern Buckle on yellow gold watches.
I just don't think they shipped any to us regular humans yet.
It sucks because they could've just given people more color options in the Classic Buckle if they were gonna be all weird about the Modern.

I find that highly annoying. I'd like to be able to get one on backorder or get a reminder when they start having stock so I can get one ordered. Why is that so difficult?

Right?? My store had ONE small pink one (fits baby wrists) and ONE large navy blue (too big, and I ordered a large WAAAAH). But the navy they didn't have until 10 days after pre-orders. On pre-order day they only had the pale pink small one. They also have never had a black SS with link band for try on.

I tried the medium in the navy and in the brown. I LOVED them.
I loved the red one on the Edition. I wish that thing came in stainless. All the pink ones are super small. I've been in more than one store and none had a pink that would fit me. That gray pink on the Edition fit like a charm, though. LOL.

Still waiting (impatiently) and hoping that modern buckle orders start shipping early. I ordered 38mm SS Brown Modern Buckle and expected to ship 12-25 May. It's just under two weeks till May 12th... God knows if it doesn't show up on the first day I'm gonna be freaking sad

My gf ordered her 38 mm SS Modern Buckle black with the confirmation email coming in at 3:03:57 AM EDT, and it's still sitting at 5/13 to 5/27. She's not in a huge rush though.
But, let's keep in mind the window was the promised window. She never expected it earlier than 5/27, and everyone should think the same.

I have a sinking feeling I ordered the wrong size modern buckle band. In all the excitement pre launch, I measured my wrist at what I thought was 155mm, but it is 165mm....which is at the outer limit of the modern band!

Now I'm faced with the dilemma of
1. continuing to wait for a watch that may be uncomfortably tight
2. Reordering and getting a July delivery
3. Ordering a SS WSB
4. Asking Apple to change my order on the backend...they obviously have not manufactured these anyway!

Apple has band replacement service available. You will get a new band and will be charged for it, they will refund once receive the old band.
I thought of doing that as well, but my wife REALLY wants her modern buckle, and who knows when those will be available to purchase separately.
me too.. especially since my hubby's 42mm ss bsb just arrived an hour ago..
if the band was available in the store (even in a few months) I would do it.. but this is for a deterent at the moment.
These have to be in short supply as they aren't even letting people order them separately. I never envisioned BANDS being the holdup to delivery.

I agree. They really should have communicated the fact that certain bands would be in short supply causing large differences in delivery times. How many people would have went with a sport band to get their watch early and ordered the leather loop separate? A lot I suspect.

This is a bit of a farce. Shame I ordered both a Leather Loop watch for myself and a Modern Buckle watch for the wife. *sigh...*
Our watches are more money so why are people with all the cheapy ones getting them first! Apple have their priorities all wrong!
