I don't really notice any slowness issues with my mini running 7.0.3 (nor when it was running 7.0.0 or 7.0.2). Obviously I can't compare it to running iOS 6 because those days are gone now but I rarely (if ever) see any stuttering (the only place I can think I might have done is when flicking through the app switcher very quickly). My iPhone 4S on the other hand does react much slower than my mini, not slow enough to be a show stopper but certainly slower than the mini.

TBH both devices are still plenty good enough for me, but I am really looking forward to "later in November" now and getting myself a nice new retina mini :D The CPU and RAM upgrades will be nice, but the retina display is what is drawing me in. Don't worry, the mini will find a good home with friends or family.
