When I first switched the Black Classic Buckle for a Sport Band, I had a bit of a hard time too, but the more I've done it, the easier it's been, and it's to the point where I can put it on one-handed now. I put the watch on my wrist, then grab the end with the pin with my middle finger and pull it underneath my wrist, then use my index finger and thumb to pull the other end and get the correct hole in line with the pin, push the hole down on the pin, and then tuck the rest of the band in.

It's hard to put in words, but I just did it a few times while trying to figure out how to best explain it, and was able to do it in a few seconds each time. I think the most difficult part is keeping the case balanced on the wrist, but again, it gets easier over time. :)

I always turned to over and tried to balance it on my leg. Your way is so much easier. Thanks.

It's a pain, every review pointed this out, it's just the design of it, like they designed it for someone to put it on by someone else lol
No.... it's not! My 9 year old can put it on without issue so why adults (unless they have a physical or site issue) are having issues is beyond me.

Lol I guess, but its pretty easy, not rocket science. I sometimes wonder how people get through life.
I'm with you.

How to put on your Apple Watch sport band:

I - Sport Watch method (this is what they showed me in the Apple store on try-on day)
1 - Insert the band with the holes partially in the tuck-in hole but leave it loose enough to slide over your hand onto your wrist.
2 - Tighten and push extra band through the tuck in hole and finish with the pin through the desired hole (4th hole for me).

II - Sport Watch alternate method (this is what I do)
1 - Lay watch face down on left thigh and wrap band around wrist beginning to tuck the band in through the tuck-in hole.
2 - Tighten and push extra band through the tuck in hole and finish with the pin through the desired hole

III - Edition watch with sport band method
1 - Have your butler put it on for you

I can do it standing up, sitting down, lying down, etc. No need to brace it. Put watch body where it normally lies on wrist. While holding pin side against wrist with pinky and holding long side with other fingers, turn wrist over, stick pin in proper hole, then tuck in strap. Takes maybe 3 seconds.

Do you have your two sides in proper position? I have the pin side connected to the top of the watch, and the long side connected to the bottom.

They designed it to be secure. The band tucks in, preventing it getting snagged on something and popping the watch off. Makes perfect sense in my opinion given the type off band it is and how it fastens.
I was very skeptical about the design but didn't want to spend the money on the classic buckle I've always been used to on my watches.

However, after using the Sports Band these past 6 weeks I've absolutely fallen in love with it. It's so streamlined that it feels like part of my arm - - no protrusions to catch on clothing or anything else. It's a brilliant design!

As to how to put it on, I just rest the watch face down on my lap and draw the two ends together with my other hand focusing on my target third hole from the end. After the peg docking procedure is complete, the strap tucking can be done at leisure. It took about a week to get reasonably handy with it, now it requires no thought or struggle - - it's just second nature.

Having owned both the sport band and the leather loop, I can say both are tricky at first and both get much easier over time. It's a matter of experimenting a little until you find a technique that works for you.

The initial try on at the store was tricky, I kind of had to hold the watch against my chest as I put the strap on and lock it. I'll get used to it. I loved the way it looked, I loved the black SS band a lot more but I just wasn't willing to pay for that right now - and wait forever to get it.

snap THEN tuck. Sort of glossed through everything and didn't see this on the first pass.

don't tuck it in the loop first. snap it in place, then tuck.

It's a "Sport band" so there are two possibilities.

1. It's designed to test your physically and metal abilities. It's a basic test. If you can't pass it, then you shouldn't be participating in sports.;)

2. It's designed as an actual sport to put on the band:p. Soon there will be Sport band competitions, much like the speed cup stacking.....:)
