Back in 2007 when I got my first iPhone I went to Staples and found a glass business card case that was just right to stand the phone up in or to set it on its side. I bought several more and have them all over the house so it's easy to stick my iPhone in one when I'm not using it. It still works very nicely for the iPhone 6 Plus, too, even though that phone is larger than any of its predecessors. I don't recall now the manufacturer of these -- they also had matching glass pencil holders, too, of which I have two for my glass computer workstations.

When you mention larger keyboard - are you referring to in potrait mode? How do you use the landscape keyboard? I haven't received my 6 plus yet (due to arrive this Thursday). But when playing around at the store, I really like everything about the 6 plus, except the landscape keyboard. When holding the the 6 and 6 plus side by side I was disappointed to see that the keys in the landscape mode 6 plus were either the same size or a tad smaller and they are in the middle - so harder to reach. Is there a fix for this or a third party keyboard that provispdes the larger keys in Landscape mode?

I tend to use the iPhone in landscape mode more often than portrait mode, and I type by holding the phone in one hand and using one or more fingers of the other hand. Never did master the art of typing with my thumbs!

Wow--the 6 doesn't look big in your hand at all--be sure to post an updated picture if you get the 6+.

Hahah no I am not ever going to get the 6+..it would be really inconvenient for me :/ I only wanted to look at the 6+ for fun. I got a new case for 6 and it looks big in my hand!

+1 for being a woman with a 6+

I'm 5'1", with small hands. I was in love with the 6+ from the moment that I was able to play with both. Right now, I have the Apple red leather case and a clear Insignia TPU case because there isn't much case selection out for the 6+'s. I'm not into the bling cases or the huge military grade cases either.

I like a lot of the ideas posted here relative to cases and wristlets. I like changing things up just like with my purses, so I appreciate seeing what others are doing.

Just thought to check out the Staples website and the card holders I mentioned are still available -- at a considerably higher price than I paid!! Really great for the iPhone, though.......can position it in either portrait or landscape and stick the Lightning charger cable in, easy-peasy.

That's a really neat idea! Do you have any pictures you could post of your iPhone 6 Plus sitting in it? If possible.

Love my 6+. There seems to be an obsession with being able to use a phone with one hand for some reason on this forum. That alone is guiding many opinions/thoughts but they are missing everything else you can do with this phone. It is one stop shopping for me as I really don't need my iPad any longer. I can't recommend it enough ;)

Not just on this forum, the whole world unsurprisingly.

This is fun, talking mostly to the girls! :) I'm a woman, I have the 6+ too, 64 gb in gold and in a clear case much like the woman's in that video (the "beauty blogger"). I still have a bit of time left (a week? maybe less) before exchanging it for the smaller one though I hope to keep the 6+. I REALLY hate to bring along a purse when I go on some quick errands like to a near by coffee shop or a couple of blocks away to my kids' school and I ALWASY put my 4S in my back pocket (plus you can feel and hear it ringing whereas in a purse you'll probably miss the call)! I've noticed that the 6+ will fit in plenty of my rear pockets, though it sticks up a bit - that doesn't bother me much. Knock on wood, I don't live or travel through areas where people come up and steel things out of people's pockets so not concerned there. But my concern - and I don't mean to bring it all up again ladies - is the bending issue. Not from all the rumors but because my son's iPod touch which is thicker than the new phones, bent in a fanny pack and shouldn't have bent the way it was being carried/treated. So now I'm extra nervous, having witnessed the bending/warping first-handed. I'm just going to hope it doesn't, and will keep as firm a case on it as I can find within aesthetic reason (!).

I have one of those glass stick-on screen protectors and that seems to be working well. The salesperson at the Verizon store in my local mall stuck it on for me and I never did feel its weight but I gotta say, the phone is a tad heavy for my tastes. But there are so many benefits that I'm trying not to care!

My only other nagging feeling is that the iPhone 6 (used in store next to my 6+) - which felt too small for me compared to the 6+ - felt much better to type on in landscape mode which is my favorite way to type (with thumbs). With the 6+ it's too hard to type with one hand (not so with the 6) for me, and in landscape mode I'm jumping all over the place cause the keyboard's so wide. I'd love it to be just a little bit narrower. So do the third party keyboards come in different "sizes"...however that works?

I shot lots of pics of my son's soccer game on Saturday and that was great, playing with the camera as well as using slow mo! That's another thing that would be hard to lose. Also watched my first TV show (via Amazon streaming) ever on it last night (a True Blood season 7 episode)! :D It's SO much easier to surf the net... I'm not sure I"ll use my laptop much longer if I keep this phone!

another super cheap simple stand is the stands from Hobby Lobby, etc. Similar to a biz card holder size but for placing a small photo/frame on or small plate or plaque. Sort of an easel design. For a few bucks at least for temporary, they work well and can adjust the angle.

I love my 6 plus!! It doesn't fit in most of my pant pockets which is kind of annoying, but other than that it's perfect. I have the black Apple leather case which makes me love it even more. I can use it one handed and I have small hands. I typed this using one hand. The screen is amazing. I used my boyfriend's 4S for a minute yesterday and it felt/looked soooo small!!!!!

I have a 6 Plus. I spent a lot of time worrying that maybe I'd made the wrong decision both before it arrived and just after because it IS huge. But now I've had it for over a week, I'm completely used to it and comfortable with it. The screen is gorgeous and I can read my comics on it in landscape, which is fantastic.

I pretty much ALWAYS have a bag with me, so it's no bother to carry it around. I would never put a phone in my pocket (in fact, I rarely wear anything with pockets!).

If I do want to go somewhere without taking a bag, I will use this Cath Kidston purse/wristlet. It will also easily fit some cards and cash. When Marc Jacobs etc start coming out with cases, I'll get something better:

Glad to see so many ladies liking their pluses. I read so many threads of guys complaining it's too big. Maybe they need bigger hands lol. But seriously the 6 plus is definitely not as mobile as the 6. So if you need to bring your cell with you the 6 is the way to go.

I find that I leave my plus in the car more often now. I think that's good because sometimes I feel like I have my phone with me too much. I mean you don't really need your phone with you when you're going out for dinner.

But yes I'm already thinking of ditching my iPad mini. Not sure about the laptop yet.

Doesn't it flop over if you put it in portrait orientation?

I was surprised that it doesn't, but this business card holder is heavier than the norm, has a good solid base and the back is higher than many of them are as well. It worked a treat for my previous iPhones but, yes, I had thought that it might not for this one so was more than happily surprised to see that it works just fine.

I'll shoot a photo in a little while....indeed, nothing like a photo to really show how something works!

I use easel-type Gibson stands for my iPads and they are wonderful. They also close up nicely for transport and of course the iPad can be either orientation: landscape or portrait. As with the Staples business card case I have several of these around the house for easy access. iPads live on these when they're at home.

OK, as promised, photos:

(iPhone is in Black Apple Leather Case)

I'm still debating on getting the plus bc I carry my mini in the purse with me all the time. Hopefully I can leave my mini at home on occasion. Luckily we don't have to worry about the bend issue.

I'll mostly use the phone 99% of the time for internet browsing and email.
However, I'm concerned with the size when picking up phone calls?? I feel as though that is the time I may drop it. I never drop the mini b/c I'm in no rush to pick it up.

Also, how cumbersome is it with taking photos vs. the iPhone 5s???

Hi again -

I just wanted to share that today I went to the store with the 6+ in my back pocket the whole time (capri pants). I of course didn't sit down, and yes the phone stuck up out the top of the pocket a bit, which doesn't bug me. No bending yet (knock on wood)! I just refuse to change the way I do things, too much.

Secondly, I put the app on the phone called Zen Garden. I can't remember where I first saw it - maybe when they first introduced the phones? Anyway it's a fun relaxing "game" (not really a game) and it shows off the nice graphics in a soothing sort of atmosphere.

Phablet-sized phones are women's phones anyway because they're too big to carry around practically unless you have a handbag and men don't always take a coat with them just to keep a clown phone in.

Hey ladies! It's nice to see some women here on the forums to talk about tech-y stuff with :p My Verizon Space Grey 64 GB iPhone 6 Plus will be delivered today and I am SO excited!

Although I am very excited, I have a few worries about the size, which is expected. I played around with the Plus in the store and loved it, but I'm just wondering how I will like it 24/7. I tend to carry my iPhone 5 in my hand all day, and occasionally slip it into a North Face fleece zip pocket in the winter. Could you all imagine carrying your Plus' around with you in your hand all day or is it too large/heavy?

Congratulations on your new 6+!

As to your question, I have small hands so for me carrying it in hand all day is a sure-fire recipe for a broken phone. I'm already at risk of dropping it with just normal operation. That said, I'm getting a wristlet case for my iPhone so I can easily carry it around with me without need for a jacket. :)
