Hey ladies! It's nice to see some women here on the forums to talk about tech-y stuff with :p My Verizon Space Grey 64 GB iPhone 6 Plus will be delivered today and I am SO excited!

Although I am very excited, I have a few worries about the size, which is expected. I played around with the Plus in the store and loved it, but I'm just wondering how I will like it 24/7. I tend to carry my iPhone 5 in my hand all day, and occasionally slip it into a North Face fleece zip pocket in the winter. Could you all imagine carrying your Plus' around with you in your hand all day or is it too large/heavy?

Well I've had mine a whole day lol but I had a crazy busy day yesterday so I got some good practice carrying it around. When I had my purse with me I carried it in a pocket inside and it was plenty easy to pull it out, check the time or send a quick text, then slide it back in. When I ran out to get a case and then later to pick kids up from school I carried it in my hand, was pleasantly surprised to find my car mount expanded enough to hold it, and had it in there. Around the house, I had it either in my hand or my back pocket and I took a lot of pictures one handed and made a bunch of phone calls with it to my ear.

So overall, I really don't use or carry it very differently than the 5. Making phone calls was actually more comfortable because you're not holding a little phone to your ear and the reachability feature came in handy more than a few times so I could use it with one hand. When you're scrolling through Facebook or twitter feeds, checking email, anything where you're just looking, it can be done one handed. I can't type one handed, that's really the only thing I HAVE to do two handed, but that was the case with the iPhone 5 too.

One thing that you might want to consider is having a case that's a tad grippy. I tried a case that was a little slippery and I was nervous about dropping it. Also, since I balance the phone on my pinky I noticed the bottom of that case was a little rough and after awhile it started hurting my pinky. The case I have on it right now was my cheapie spare but it has been working out way better so far. I want to try the silicone apple case because it has an open bottom and people say it's a bit grippy, but I can't find one locally yet.

I just tried putting it into the pocket of my Denali and it sticks out a little past the zipper when it's in there sideways but fits with plenty of room when I put it in vertically.

These work well from craft store for quickie cheap stands

Thanks for the pics! In landscape mode that would be a cheap charging "dock" so it's not laying on the desk or counter.

Yep, that's what I do! Either I charge the phone standing in portrait mode (upside-down) or in landscape mode, always in the business case stand. Ditto for my iPads -- I always charge them while they're on the Gibson stands. No need for a fancy, expensive dock with this method, and I have several "charging stations" around the house for convenience. When someone needs to be charged, I stick her on the nearest stand, plug her in and let her rip.....

Hey, Meagain -- the second photo shows a stand very much like my Gibson 3-Wire stands, which I had gotten at Amazon. I initially started out with a similar one that I'd gotten at Michael's Crafts. I tilt mine back a little more than is shown in that photo, though, so that the iPad is leaning comfortably and not prone to falling forward and flat on its face.

I'm still debating on getting the plus bc I carry my mini in the purse with me all the time. Hopefully I can leave my mini at home on occasion. Luckily we don't have to worry about the bend issue.

I'll mostly use the phone 99% of the time for internet browsing and email.
However, I'm concerned with the size when picking up phone calls?? I feel as though that is the time I may drop it. I never drop the mini b/c I'm in no rush to pick it up.

I've had the plus since the 19th and have not taken my mini out of the house since. I don't miss my mini. I don't have a problem making phone calls with the phone. I was on the phone all morning when I first had the plus and had no problem holding the phone.

I love the bigger screen. I just keep it in my purse. So much better for the screen real estate. I'm about 5'3. I find a bigger screen so much better for web browsing, reading texts, bigger keyboard etc.

I totally agree. I am 5'1" and I love my 6+. I always kept my 5S in my purse so that's not a problem. I love the curved edges. More pleasant to hold than the 5-5S. I especially love the landscape mode and having this phone will mean that I don't have to carry an iPad Mini in addition to my phone. I never used my 5S one-handed, so that is not an issue for me with the 6+. It's also great having 6 rows of apps plus the home row of apps on each screen. Every woman who has asked to hold my phone said they are getting the 6+ as well.
No regrets at all!

This is a good thread. I got the 6 but returned it and so still using my 5c. I felt for me the 6 was too big to be small and too small to be big.
I am definitely thinking about the 6+ now but I am ok to hang on a few more weeks until there is less of a wait for it. I carry a purse pretty much all the time and I could also sell my iPad mini if I got the 6+.

I thought the 6+ would replace my mini, but I still like having my mini I guess if I didn't already have a mini then I wouldn't buy one, but since I already have one i don't feel that the 6+ is big enough to be a mini replacement for my purposes.

Finally a forum for us "gals":D. Hello everyone , I am still waiting to upgrade to i6+ of course! I 've played with it at the store ( NO i did not bend it whilst filming myself) :D & it's the clear winner for me. I will lug it around in my bag; seeing its a delicate device I plan to slap on a nice full cover from Jisoncase (Amazon) from day one!

I guess it will be easy to carry about without a handbag with a full case!

I will upgrade my iPad 3 to the looming Air 2 , suffice to say 6+ will not replace the iPad..:)

I am still using both of my iPads (iPad Mini with retina screen, iPad Air) and don't see myself giving up either of them soon, but I also am not quite as eagerly chomping at the bit for the next versions to come out as I have been in the past and I'm not sure if I'll replace one or both of them this time around or not. Features and functionality would need to be really, really compelling..... In the meantime I am using my iPhone a whole lot more than I ever did in the past, especially for online stuff since I can now actually SEE the text on the darned thing and since typing on it is significantly easier for me.

It didn't bend while you played with it huh?

I haven't heard of that case!

So I have a serious first world problem with the 6+. It doesn't fit into my usual wristlet (Kate Spade Cobble Hill Bee). What larger wristlet options are there out there that are plain leather and not basically clutches? I'm reluctant to just throw the phone into my bag without it being in a wristlet because I use a longchamp, which obviously has no interior pockets to speak of (but I love it otherwise) so it would be mingling with keys, coins, and the inevitable dirt.

Came from a 4s and skipped the 5s knowing Apple would eventually make a larger model. I loved the 4s design so the wait wasn't too bad. :D Had my eye on the Plus from day one with no doubts and finally snagged my 64gb Space Gray last week thanks to that idevicechecker website that I refreshed a billion times daily like a madwoman.

I love it! I'm 5'8"-9" with longish fingers, but I was mostly a two-hander with my 4s, so I was comfortable with it immediately, except for how slippery it is. It's temporarily hanging out in a clear Insignia case I purchased at Best Buy for $14.99 till I settle on a more permanent one. I'm just waiting a little bit and watching all the different cases coming out. :)

I suppose it depends upon the bag's particular styling, but don't some of the Longchamp bags have exterior pockets? They may not be large enough for the iPhone Plus, though.....

There are options such as adding a case to protect the back of the device and also adding a screen protector..... While I've got an Apple Leather case on mine right now, I have not been convinced that I need a screen protector on this baby; none of my previous iPhones have ever had one and they've all been just fine. I AM thinking of some sort of folio case to use when going out-and-about, which would protect both front and back of the iPhone regardless of how I carried it. In the meantime I'm using the Apple leather case and then when going out-and-about also slipping the iPhone into a microfibre pouch meant for sunglasses -- works a treat! It protects the screen of the device from scratches and such.

How close is it to fitting in there?

I was scouring the Internet for a wristlet and it was too hard to decide. I think I'm going to plan to do some shopping one day and go put my phone in a lot of wristlets

Congrats on hunting one down!

I hope some more cases start coming out soon.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll probably go with the plus as long as I can get a decent price for my 5c trade in and I'll keep the 5s if I need a small phone in an evening clutch.

Thanks! It happened faster than I expected looking for that particular model.

Same here, as far as more cases hitting. Gonna be hard to pick only one or two. I'm already seeing some nice options in this thread.

I'm skinning mine with Best Skins Ever (my fave). Using Apple Silicone case OVER that when I'm in a sitch where I need more protection.

And on another thread someone posted the leather case with one of these stickers in the logo imprint.

http://www.luckyskins.com/phones/iphone-6-6-plus/iphone-logo-inserts.html I'm so getting a set for my White Silicone

Was it that blue one? I have been wanting to see the apple cases in person but no place in town has them yet.

So you have a skin on the back and a case?

Yes it was a pic of black leather Apple case with blue sticker :) I just placed my order for Purple, Mint, Lilac.

I don't have the skin on yet but yes that's my plan and what I've done in the past. I still don't know what I'll put on the glass but going with BSE also for that for now.

I have the silicone case on right now which is too much case for me but it's super nice and likely needed right now till I get used to holding it. Grasping with one hand still doesn't feel right but it'll come. IT'S FLIPPING GORGEOUS and even if I drop it all over the place and it's still uncomfortable - um - IT'S FLIPPING GORGEOUS LOL

I don't know if I've ever seen the skin. I think I would like something a little more grippy than what I have but its hard to find 6+ cases around here.

The accessory I'm most actively searching for right now is a waist/belt bag aka fanny pack. I'm not sure how convenient it will be but there are some cute ones!

Post some pics here. I'm looking for belt bags for our upcoming Disneyland and Universal Orlando vacations. Don't really want to put my bag in the locker everytime we ride a rollercoaster. ;)
