Anyone still going to get this if they already have a GPS?

It will be an interesting marketing study. Who doesn't already have a digital camera or music player, other than their phones? However, iPhone users didn't have to pay any extra for those utilities.

With the pricing of standalone GPS units at fairly low levels, it's a price point comparison at best. However, it will give some spouses' yet another reason why they "have to have" the new phone . . . "Well, honey it's a gps too . . "

You Guys are all nuts this thing wont sell for more than $29.99 any more than that an NO One in their right mind is going to buy it. I Can get a great GPS unit for $100, TOMTOM would be stupid to charge over $29.99

ummmm that crappy G-map application was $40 for all of the US...... you honestly think the tomtom version is going to be cheaper? I'd say AT LEAST $100 with mount and app

i dont know about other users but i think the G-map app is great and it is much better than the google maps app. version 1.2 was true TBT w/o voice.

I got a garmin Nuvi 200 for $100 a year ago because my tom tom had almost no points of interest. Why would i spend $100 for software, when i can get a far superior product.

The G-map application never really sold to the masses, if TomTom wants to make some real cash they are going to have to price this competitively.

uuummmmm me ........probably. Depends on price. As I said before I used to have to carry a lot of different devices and it really got on my t*ts. I have three to carry at the moment (work bberry, iphone, tomtom) cutting it to two would be just peachy for me and I wont look like such a f*nny with my satnav, iphone and bberry all on different cradles in my car(I wont be able to cut it to less than two unless I get the sack! Then I wouldnt have a work bberry and couldnt afford my iphone anymore!)

I already have a Garmin but may buy the TomTom software depending on the price. It could be a great deal because my wife and I both have iphones and we can use the software on both having only purchased it once. 2 GPSs for (speculating on price) $50, that's an awesome deal.

Well if you already own a GPS unit, of course you're not interested in spending more than $30 for the TomTom app... especially since you pretty clearly don't like TomTom to begin with.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who would rather have a TomTom app on my phone than another plastic gadget in my car. If they price the app+mount competitively with their low end units, it will sell well.

it's about the convenience.... that's how they're going to justify charging you a ton. you don't carry your $100 tomtom unit around in your pocket 24/7....

granted i could be completely wrong, maybe it will be only $30-40. But I personally think it will be at least $100.... and they wont have any problem selling the crap out of that software even if it's $100
