My 6+ fits in my jeans and my shorts fine. When I use a 6, the text looks unsharp and pixelated. After using the plus for a year everything on the 6 feels cramped. I don't think I could comfortably go back to a 6. I would prefer a 5.2-ish display over either.

I'd like too because I find the 6+ to be unwieldily, I always have to take it out of my pocket. Its also not as easy to use on the subway as its smaller brother is.

The thing for me is, its hard to justify spending all that money on a new phone when the 6+ is not even a year old. True I can recoup some of the costs but I'll still be laying out more $$ then I'm really wanting too. I suppose I can suck it up for another year and then downsize for the 7.

Been thinking about it.

I care more about battery life than the screen size. If only the 6s would last an hour longer than the Plus would I be all over it.

Went down to a 6s also. Hated not being able to carry my phone in my pocket and it was even harder to work out with a gigantic phone. Going to miss the battery the most.

Yea me too, especially since iOS 9 helped my 6+'s battery a lot. I get almost double the usage time than my 6 got that was iOS 8.

I also worry about the smaller battery, which is even smaller in the 6S.

While the battery is smaller, Apple has stated the battery life of of the 6 and the 6S are the same. I suspect this is because of how much more energy efficient iOS 9 is over iOS 8. Apple does have a pretty stellar track record of nailing their battery life estimates as well, so I think it will be fine.

I am downsizing from a 6 Plus to a 6S, to answer the OP's question.

I was all about the 6 Plus the first few months, singing its praises. But quickly the novelty wore off.

Once someone made a comment while I was using Tinder (with the 6 Plus screen, EVERYONE sees what you're doing) I decided to downsize when the next generation comes out.

I have a regular 6 from work (16 GB though, not even really usable :) ) so that gave me the opportunity to compare, and frankly I didn't even think twice once I started using it for a week - besides the battery life. Watched the same shows, wrote/read the same emails, browsed the same websites, listen to the same music ... it was just easier to use with one hand that sealed the deal.

just sold my 6+ and went back to a 5s until my 6s arrives... i have to say that i truly miss a phone i can surf with one hand (where i can reach every part of the screen with out the slightest bit of reaching), that can fit in my pocket and not cause discomfort, and has just the right amount of thickness where it's comfortable to hold. imo, the 6+ and 6s+ are great for people who are on the go or consume a lot of media and do not want to carry an additional device. but for a phone, the 5 is the perfect size. i agree with judethat when they stated that the 6/6s and an ipad would be the best combo. if they sold a smaller 4" screen iphone with current specs, i'd definitely go for that and a tablet.

The tech specs on Apple.com show the Plus as having more battery life in the major use categories (6S left, 6S+ right):

Used the plus for a year and just this week started using a 6 and im not missing the plus to be honest. Sure battery life is worse but havent noticed anything else different. Will get a 6s this time.

I'm considering going 6S though I did preorder a 6S Plus. With the slower performance, lack of developer support for any landscape apps, and less pocketable size, it has started to feel like the larger battery is about the only real advantage to having the 6/6S Plus model.

I pre ordered 2 6s+ for hubby and I. I have tossed around the idea of trying to go back to the smaller version. If I also go order a 6s and try it out can I still return it for full refund within the 14 days?

My pluses aren't due to arrive till mid October. The 6s I could get with a 9/25 delivery date.

When the pluses arrive my plan was to take them in and return them in hopes to start the AUP. If I liked the smaller 6s I would just return that one and do same thing?!

I am downgrading from the 6+ to 6s. The screen was nice at times but it was getting on my nerves on hikes. I would usually put in bag. While I was running, I had to get a belt to carry it. I wouldn't even take the phone to the gym because it was just too awkward. I will def miss the battery but in the end it will be much better for me.

The screen was one of the reasons I am upgrading to a new phone and switching to the upgrade program with apple.

Me. 6 Plus, while nice to use at home or the office, is a bit cumbersome for other everyday activity due to its sheer size. I'm hoping the 7 will have the same form factor as the regular 6 with an increased screen size.

I will be downsizing to a 6s from a 6 plus. As much as I loved the battery life and watching movies from the 6+ while working out, it was a bit cumbersome to carry around in my pocket, even though I did get used to it.

Wish apple made a 5-5.2 inch iPhone. That would be perfect for me. I love the size of the Galaxy S6 Edge.

think you missed the point there :)

Yikes, I totally did! I mistook the S variant as the Plus ... my brain processed the suffix on 6 = Plus.

Unlike some "juveniles" (quoted as it's a state of mind, not so much an age demo) on this forum (who don't have well formed egos), I appreciate someone correction a post of mine if it's erroneous

I went from a 6 Plus to a 6 half a year ago and been happy. Though I loved the 6 Plus and I just found it unwieldy to use at work and curry comfortablely in short pockets. Have a 6S on order for Friday and did think of getting 6S Plus but I think it's just not for me! Just using it on the go is its huge advantage.
