how well does the ultra thing air protect the corners of the phone? also has anyone tried the switcheasy nude or the photive slim case? how do they compare?

Hey guys, this is for those who bought the Smooth White version.

I've bought a Soft Clear version and I can confirm that the case fits tightly. If you have bought a Smooth White case and it does not fit tightly with the phone, please contact Spigen and tell them that the Smooth White is flaw. Only my voice is not enough so please help out. Thanks!

Hey, can u please let me know if the soft clear experience scratch and scuffs on the case itself (similar to the griffin reveal). Much appreciated. Thanks.

I too received the email from Spigen about the Recall. I actually received it the same day that I received the case in the mail. I will have to say that I am NOT currently using it because I didn't like the way it fit on the iPhone 5. It seemed to be very tight and I will look foward to getting the newer one in the mail.

I am using the Incipio Feather case at the moment, and It is working out better! It has a soft touch feel that makes handling the phone nicer!

After using Incase Snap cases for the iPhone 4 and 4S, I am waiting to see that case as well!:apple:

Got mine off Amazon, and I dont know if it's part of the recall since I didnt get mine thru Spigen.

What was wrong with the case btw? How do i know if my case is part of the recall???

Thanks

Just received my black one for my black iphone. The top edge seems quite sharp and isn't very straight. It is also above the top of the phone by a full 1mm or so. I emailed them about it but haven't heard back yet. Does anyone else have the same issue or is this just mine that is weird?

Unfortunately it makes the top of the phone very uncomfortable to push the power button.

EDIT - Just got a return email, looks like they will be sending me a replacement. Nice service.

Not sure on quality

Purchased the soft clear version of the case, and received it today. Looked really good out of the box, placed on the phone and saw some scratches on the back, thought it was the phone but was actually on the case, and also the black border around the flash had come off when removed from the phone.

Bit disappointed as I really liked the case, not sure if I should ask for a refund or exchange now.

Is there any other cases similar to this one?

For those who are interested, this seems to be the generic version of the Spigen Ultra Thin Air (they even used the exact photo from the Spigen website sans logo and flash ring): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/0-3mm-Ultra-Thin-Black-White-Crystal-Clear-Air-Jacket-for-iPhone-5-G-Snap-Case-/200827293801?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item2ec23d5069

Just received the Crystal Clear from this seller. The case is slightly thinner than Spigen Ultra Thin Air. The quality is not as good but it's not that far from behind. It fits tightly with the phone. I'd give this case 8 out 10. For the price, it's a very nice case.

Just to chime in my $.02 I finally got the Ultra Thin Air soft clear. It's a nice case, great form factor. Minimal coverage, maximum exposed phone. The lettering on the side is not so bad. I did get rid of it rather quickly after discovering that it creates a wavy pattern on the back of my Iphone 5 visible with the case on. Forgot to mention that I have the clear Ghost Armor on the back. If I didn't have any protection on the back, I would have kept the Ultra Thin Air. It's made pretty well, but I love the Aviiq thin series hands down for minimal coverage and it's one that I keep on everyday.

may I ask why you feel that the quality isn't as good as the ultra thin air? in what sense? material, maybe? the sgp crystal clear doesn't seem to have appeared on the market btw.

It's a bit flimsy. It feels like it would break if you take the case off often. It's understandable since it's thinner than SGP though. Even that said it's not far behind and for the price, it's a no brainer.

thanks. is it really crystal clear, or does it have a slight frost/texture effect to it?
