So far I'm liking it. The bubbles do seem to be very slowly improving. There's no question that I prefer the look and feel of the "naked" iPad, but this is about as close as I'll get to that while keeping it protected.

The fit of the GA seems about right. The edges on the screen are about half a millimeter short of the iPad edges (maybe a full mm, dunno), but I think that's by design. If it were to extend all the way to the edge then I think it would be at risk of pulling up. The screen surface also shows a bit of an orange peel effect, which I don't like, but it's subtle enough that it doesn't bother me.

I think the back looks great. Somehow the apple logo looks perfect, even though it's recessed a little bit. There is no air gap around the logo where it recesses. The back is now glossy, so it's different, but I like it. The corners have that necessary cut-out pattern for the curves, which isn't all that noticeable and so far they are staying down nicely.

The kiosk I went to also had the matte version on display. Looked pretty cool, but I did notice that it seemed more rigid (maybe thicker?), and the apple logo did have an air bubble going around the outline of the logo. The matte version has a texture more like the actual aluminum.

Interestingly, I made the mistake of trying to wipe the GA clean a couple hours after application, which left a couple scratches. I think it's "soft" for a day or two after application. But the next day the scratches were gone. I guess the drying/hardening process did something to remove them.

In 6 months when this thing is all scratched up, I'll consider this a good investment if I can actually get another one for free (lifetime warranty). But, so far it seems worth the money just for piece of mind. I have two young kids as well so maybe is a little more important for me.

Here are some pics of what I believe to be the best clear protection I have ever used. I have used Zaggs and a few others. None have compared to Ghost Armor so far. It was easy to install and looks great. I won't be buying from another company unless they somehow start making a crappy product.

I know I have popped into this thread enough to really start sounding like some sort of shill -- but I am just a cpvery happy customer. I don't have a lot of experience with other iPad skins but I have tried a variety of different skins on my iPhones and I concur with BadMoon -- Ghost Armor is leagues better than the competition.

I love the protection and I guess one of the reasons I keep chiming in and recommending them is that I think people use other similar products because they love the idea and then those products perform really poorly and they throw out the idea of a clear wrap entirely.

I love some that there area a growing variety of skins (carbon fiber looking, white, black, leather, etc) but, for me, if i can get the same protection (or better) coverage and protection without weird contrast inducing cut outs around the buttons and speakers I would much prefer a clear product. Additionally, for me, the industrial design and clean lines of apple products really keep me from wanting to put too much "personality" onto the iPad... A custom dyed smart cover for me is enough..

Exactly! The products they make are so nice looking. That's why I prefer a minimalist approach.

I want to put something on the back of my iPad to protect it paired with the smart cover on top, but it stresses me out working with these one-shot deals where you have to get it right the first time or throw it away and start over with a new one. I almost had a meltdown installing a Wrapsol on my iPhone 4.

i got mine installed at a kiosk in the mall they told me if in seven days i didnt like it to come back and they would reinstall it, their was a bit of moisture under the ghostarmor that they said would dry in 24 hours it didnt so i went back and they re did it for me they told me they just spray it down with soap and water it didnt look very hard and he only had to lift part of it and was able to lay it back down so it seems like its not a one shot deal

I wasn't happy with a few bubbles which remained after my initial installation. It was my bad as I was overly worried about using too much water and didn't work out the bigger bubbles while wet. Anyway, did a warranty exchange online without issue. (think I was charged $5-something for shipping..FedEx Ground).

Nailed the second installation. Kept everything very wet. Just tried to ignore the water on the camera lens and in the speaker area. Didn't even attempt to lay down the sides and corners until all the bubbles and water were worked to the side.

Removing the previous Ghost Armor wasn't too tough. Took a bit of work, but it came off in one piece and with no residue. That said, I think it took a piece of my Apple logo as you can see in this picture:

I've had to have GA reinstalled on my ipad2 front screen 4 times and it's still not correct. I have what looks like a soap scum in an area roughly 4" by 4" under the film. I really like the feel on the product. For all the problems (112 mile round trip) they offered to put a cover on. My iPhone 4 for $10.00, I took them up on it. I awoke yesterday morning to moisture under the GA screen and me phone is also in a otter box defender series case. I took it to the kiosk again and they said they had never seen this happen. Needless to say if I have to return one more time I wants refund.

I received my Ghost Armor for just the front of the ipad yesterday. I followed the directions, which called for using 12 oz. water with 6 drops of dishwashing liquid in it. I placed that in a shallow pan, dipped the cover in it, let the excess water drip off and placed it on. Then I used a credit card covered with the cleaning cloth it came with and rubbed the bubbles out. I let it dry for 24 hours without turning it on, just to be sure. It was a perfect fit and it looks great. I highly recommend it!:)

Is the gift card deal still going on? I'm going to get a fully body and I know I won't be able to install it myself.

I think it's an "always available" thing. I got it for my iPad 1 and asked about is with my the iPad 2 . The only trick is you need to wait 24 hours to use it... So buy it and then go back to the mall the next day. So if the mall with a ghost armor kiosk is a hike you might want to keep that in mind..

Sold my old iPad 2, a white verizon, bought/ordered a Black AT&T 64GB.

Power-Supp. on the front anti-glare.

These are pics of the BACK Ghost Armor I personally installed.

Nice job on the install. Looks very similar to my iPad which I paid to have installed.. :-/

Can anyone comment on the feel of the ghost armor on the screen? I have the matte on the back and sides of my iPhone, but was wondering how the clear ghost armor does on the retina display and if it feels like glass or more tacky like IS

I don't have any personal experience with other screen protectors for the front of my iPhone 4 but I do have the ghost armor. Wall I love the look and feel of the matte finish back protector I did feel a certain amount of gummy and tackiness on the front screen protector. As a matter of fact I think I'm going to swing by the location that installed it and see if they have an update to their screen because I don't like it very much.
