Anybody see any shipping movement on New Powerbeats?

Best buys’s order status page is just being wierd now, usually it’s accurate. It’s saying shipment arrives tomorrow, but still getting ready with ability to cancel. Nothin about shipped or preparing. Never done a preorder with shipment before so not sure if they operate with some confusion here on their status page with these things.

Called customer service automated line and they say that the item is back ordered. Here's the number - see what they say about yours. 888-237-8289

Back ordered doesn't sound good to at all.

It doesn't seem that there is a whole lot of fulfillment going on from Best Buy or Apple recently.

Maybe toggle Airplane mode on, wait a few seconds, then turn it off. Might reset your Bluetooth connections...Last resort is maybe restart your phone, just to make sure your phone isn't the issue...

Thanks for the info, you’re correct. I spoke to a lady who said they are indeed backordered and have no idea when they will get the item. So this “arriving Friday” and “ships by Friday” business is obv incorrect. I told her I should have kept my apple preorder as I was hoping to get these before my next week’s overseas travel. She apologized and did offer a 20 dollar gift card for the inconvenience. So that’s something, but unfortunately another apple release with insufficient quantities and inadequate prep for release.

Update:

Now it’s saying preparing and won’t allow me to cancel order, fingers crossed!

Mine says preparing as well. Obviously, BB is not a super logistical/inventory company.

At least you got a $20 gift card!

When I got home and placed them back into the case, it said “not your power beats” or something along that line. It’s like they were highjacked. Who knows.

We’ll see if the $20 gift card ever ships, I see no sign of it or email other than what the rep said lol. Ok great, good to see that yours shows the same, maybe Best Buy comes through as they said and the reps only know as much as we see on the site. Let me know if yours ships!

To the best buy’ers waiting, looks like my order shipped! Just got the email...funny thing is that Best Buy site still shows “being delivered today”, which I’m not sure how they’re gonna do if shipped today. But happy to see movement. Hopefully those of you waiting will finally see mvmt from Best Buy.

Mine says it shipped today. But it still says it arrives today. Had a confusing conversation with customer rep earlier today. They had trouble finding my order inm my account but found it with my order number. Tracking number says it is waiting to be picked up.

Honestly, I don't know what to think...

Ordered May 3rd, probably within the first hour of them being available that morning.

I agree, UPS status says waiting to be picked up also...and Arrives today. I dont have experiences with best buy pre-orders but I also doubt they do same day shipping like this. Well, tomorrow arrival is fine too...just wish the info was more accurate.

I got my confirmation at 41 minutes after they started sales.

Typically Best Buy is slow to update carrier information. When I called last night phone update said that it had already been labeled but hadn't been picked up. This was about 9pm CST.

Neither UPS MyChoice or FedEx Delivery Manager shows the shipment.
 
I ordered May 3rd. It has said it arrives on 5/17 since I ordered. It still says it's arriving today but UPS doesn't even have the tracking in their system yet.

So you didn’t get tracking yet?
 
When i input the UPS tracking number associated with my order into the UPS tracking site I get error that the tracking number isn't found. This is typically what you see when a shipment hasn't even been scanned into UPS' system yet.
 
Just a quick question to those who have the pro already, Do the tips offer passive isolation, or its like the airpods where you can still sort of hear things around you and need to increase volume to drown the noise? I once had the beats x and the powerbeats 2nd gen (not sure if they changed it with the powerbeats 3) but i remember the beats x works like a typical in-ear earphone that gives you passive noise cancellation while the powerbeats 2 was meant not to go fully in your ear, hence you hear some noise... its good when working out i guess and running since you hear what’s around you but i’m curious if the beats pro is more like the beats x that is in-ear or the pb2? Or pb3 for that matter but i didnt get to use that one. Thanks in advance

You can play around with how the buds sit in your ear by adjusting the ear hook. If you don't adjust it (ie, when I first put them on), it was more like the PB2. But, a quick adjustment should get them to seat in your ear canal well, and then you get the passive isolation.
 
Best Buy:

Tracking is updated. It is coming by ups and arrives wed. May 22. Looks like it is coming Surepost with final delivery by usps. Can you believe it?

We can get it Tues if we upgrade to ground for a fee. Always been next day or 2 day before on a launch like this.

I just upgraded for $3.50. Too many items that completed through usps were mostly later when they came. Should arrive on tues but I am hoping Monday.

Oh wow, thanks for the update, didn’t realize it would be such slow shipping. Have recently ordered 2 laptops from them last week and they came in two days with base shipping.

Mine just updated as well, and says Friday 24th delivery, slowest delivery ever honestly. Thanks for the upgrade tip. I also upgraded to ups ground which will get it here on the 23rd...hopefully before I have to fly out for a week that same evening :-/
