I am going to say something here.

This app is not getting the attention it deserves. IMO there is nothing in the app store that even comes close to this free app. (that I have found, and we all know how tedious it is to find on the app store.)

The daily should take note. As for speed, on my iP1, it loads up in about 20 seconds or less after pulling it's content.

Lastly, I appreciate the way it learns and allows me to rate my articles, authors and websites so it pulls more stories from. Even Macrumors articles are posted on it under the Mac category.

Just an outstanding job on this 1.0 app.

Color me impressed.

I couldn't have said it better. This app is freaking great!!! I love the rate and I also love the fact I can export the article to Instapaper too...

Love it! Find it to be a lot better than Flipboard.

Agree, so far my only issue with vs. Flipboard is that each seems to have content the other doesn't. But, I've only been using it for a few days so maybe some of those site's articles will start popping up.

Could someone please help me understand how Instapaper works with this?

So I made an account on instapaper website, I can log in and stuff. Now let's say I see a bunch of articles in zite I wish to read later for the airplane, on vacation or whatever. I check each article in zite and send to instapaper.

But then, where/how do I read these articles? DO I need the separate 3.99 Instapaper app or something?

Many thanks

You should just log into the app and your articles are there. However I don't know if there is a limit on the free version.

That would be which app? Zite, or Instapaper? As far as I can find on the app store, instapaper app is not free. And Zite does not seem to want to start when there is no internet connection.

thank you very much for the reply

Yes, Instapaper. The Instapaper integration in Zite allows you to "bookmark" sites to Instapaper, which as you've noticed is an entirely separate service.

I'm too lazy to check but I think Instapaper is free on iPhone and for pay on iPad. I have the iPad version and it works great.

Sorry, should of been more clear. Instapaper on the iPad is not free. There used to be a free version that would only let you store 10 items, however a quick look, and I mean quick, looks like it is gone from the store both for iPhone and iPad. You will need to log into the Instapaper app. Once logged in it should remember you.

Zite needs a network connection, someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe it updates the news articles every time you log in. Also, when you do create an Instapaper article, it does take a few seconds to transfer over. I usually wait a minute or two and make sure it does make it over.

You can also use the Instapaper website if you want to view your documents if you don't want to use the app. You will need to log into it also.

Thanks, i understand now :)

Is there a way to easily 'instapaper' the entire zite of that instant? Like quickly downloading the paper entirely before going on the train or airplane?

Thanks again

Thanks for your replies, truly helped :) I purchased instapaper now and quite like the white on black text (however, the white could be a little more white..). Excellent combination between zite en instapaper :)
