Do you think it’s mildew or something? I really don’t think it’s the actual material of the case, but who knows.
Yes, both the seller and I concluded that it is a fungus growing because the level of humidity is very high lately with the rainy season in my country.

The seller claimed it hasn’t been like that before he send it to me and the fungus might grew during the shipping. But I doubt it since it only took a day trip from his city to my city. So it must be because he store it somewhere that allow the fungus grow easily. He agreed to have the case return to him though.

Thanks everyone!
I might buy a brand new one with the gray color that I prefer, but the price isn‘t really something that I would gladly pay for.

I still have mine. It was my first choice, back in the day when there was no Navy or Ocean blue. TBH I don't use it very much any more now that I've got Navy Blue and the Apple cases.

Here's Gray and Navy Blue with my 12 Pro in the middle.

This pic was taken next to a window and is the one where the color is more realistic.

Do you think the gray version will get discoloration at some time?
I’m looking to pick this color but worrying it might turned dirty too soon like my Spigen Liquid Air case in the past.

Yes, it looks like black looks in sunlight ;) but it's actually a dark(er) gray.
Navy is very dark, almost as dark as black without the blue hue.

As for the wallpapers, they represent two comic characters created by a french agency. I'm attaching mine below. You can create some yourself here (in different motives and colors): Anooki Wallpaper (google translated to English).

So I edited the color of the background a bit and it matches perfectly with the Navy Sheath. Try it and see, it’s a perfect match!

Have the ultra thin Veil. tbh, I wish it was thinner on the lip of the screen.

I agree. I’d prefer to not be able to feel a lip on mine. I think it’s hard/impossible to have the lip as low profile as it was on past models because of the squared edges. The X and 11 series phones allowed the case to wrap around and grip the edges more so (I think).

I still really like the Veil and Sheath, with a slight preference to the Veil.

Ah, so that explains my confusion (upgraded from 7+ which had almost no screen lip).

That said, I did experiment with a couple of cheap cases on Amazon. I did find one that does have a smaller lip. It is a step down in terms of "feel quality," but not remarkably so. I've thrown it on and kept it on over my Veil.

Another I tried was this, though the lip was also larger than I'd like:

At these prices, it doesn't hurt to by a handful and try.

Thank you! They look really good! I'll try them out and post a pic tomorrow by daylight. :)
And today I received my ocean blue sheath! It looks fantastic with the 12 Pro PB !!

Sorry, I realize I didn't answer your question.
So, I don't think it will. My iPhone X sheath was in mint condition when I passed it on with the phone.
I think Sheath is a very sturdy case and it should not develop any anomaly when used normally.

I have the Casekoo case in the same color and I love it. I rotate it among the 2 cases I ordered from AliExpress. I’m on the fence about the Caudabe cases.

Thanks! Gonna buy the gray Sheath as my rugged case then. Really like the fit, buttons and slim form.

Honestly, mine has been collecting some dust. I liked it for the first few days, but as soon as my hands are dry (which is pretty often these days) the case has been slippery. The apple silicone and the spigen thin fit have been taking the edge for me.

(while not Caudabe), memumi makes some very thin cases that might well suit. See for example this Minimalist memumi Back Cover in Translucent Pacific Blue for the iPhone 12/Pro and Pro Max.

I want to order the Caudabe case today, but I already have 6 cases and 2 more coming from AliExpress soon. I’m on the fence as to wether I’m upgrading again this year in September. I don’t want to buy too many cases if Apple change the Pro Max size again. Maybe I’ll try it out and return if I don’t like it.

Rumors telling this year they will make it slightly thicker. Not sure how much to actually effect current case dimensions.

I have a back skin and side skins on my iPhone 12, along with the Shellrus edge to edge glass protector and the 2 clear cases I tried couldn’t fully fit due to the added side thickness.

I had to opt for a silicone case with microfiber lining because it was flexible and easy to put on and take off. However it attracts a lot of lint and dust.

Any one know if the Sheath will have fitment issues with a back skin and side skin, as well as edge to edge glass protector? :)
