Anyone able to walk in and buy one without a pre-order yet?

As the title suggests, has anyone been able to walk in to their local store and purchase one? I cancelled my pre-order as I wanted to get a different storage configuration and was hoping I could roll into my store and buy one.

Usually you can order online for store pickup on launch day, but doesn't seem that's available at the moment.

Yes - I'd ordered a 512GB for pickup this morning, but changed my mind and wanted 1 TB. They had walk-in stock and essentially placed a new order for me and cancelled my old one.

If you're hoping to walk into a store, just make a demo appointment. At least then you can try it before spending that kind of money on an iPad for your face.

I walked in to mine and got one after demoing. I was the 3rd person in line for a walkup demo and there was only a couple people after me by the time I left. Very light traffic.

Probably the wrong term...the piece that is customized to your face to prevent light from coming in while you are wearing it. They do a face scan and then you're given a size (like 21W).

I was able to walk in also and they had all sizes and fittings. Even though I had ordered one my sizing was not correct on the online order as after trying a few fits I got the right size so I believe it's a good idea to buy at the store. Cancelled my online order.

Two stores in San Antonio....go to La Cantera first if you can (that's where I was at).

yeah, I popped by the Apple Store today, they had a ton available. No wait, no issues. Funny, people have them listed on Ebay and Offerup for thousands more.

Take your buyer's remorse elsewhere. It's literally an iPad for your face. It runs iPad apps, and its own baby version of apps. This was known from the beginning, and has not changed.

I think you misread my post - I don't have buyer's remorse. I love my AVP and the experience has been amazing.

Pretty sure there will be an abundance of these simply because they're the second most expensive item in the Apple Store. Even if they're a hit I doubt many could afford to drop that much on an unproven product.
