12 mini - I've got several cases, but my preferred way to use it is with no case and MagSafe wallet when I'm out and about. Haven't dropped it. It's in great condition.
I have thought about this to be able to lay it flat on the table, but, does it really sit horizontal or is somewhat camera-lens heavy and is laying tilt?

I wish I'd never read the headline for this thread. I'd never thought about using my iPhone without wearing clothes, but I liked the sound/visual of it. So I took off all of my clothes and started using my iPhone naked. It was wonderful. However, I went down to the coffee shop to make some calls and read my Twitter feed and I began to feel like everyone was staring at me...then I was arrested and I had to sell my iPhone 12 to make bail. Now I'm stuck with just this old iPad and I've been told by the judge not to dare try to use it naked or she'll throw me back in the pen and throw away the key. 😬

Tried going totally naked on my 12 Pro Max. No case and no tempered glass. Only thing i worried about was the camera. Bought the Zeelot camera lens protector, but it didnt stick well. So now i just use the Pitaka MagEZ because im afraid to damage the camera -_-.

Now try using the iPad naked. You should still be able to check your twitter feed at the same coffee shop. 😉

With the wallet on, it isn’t camera lens heavy. It doesn’t tilt, either. It’ll sit horizontal and be totally fine!

So, my caseless iPhone 12 mini has taken two falls to concrete this summer. One was on my back patio onto exposed aggregate concrete (the rough, stone-faced kind). It left one little mark on the aluminum frame on the back. I did have to lightly file it down as it had a sharp point on it (which I think was actually caused by the edge of the table it slid off of). The second was this last week. Face down from about 4 feet up onto smooth concrete that was somewhat dirty. Of course, it spins and slides, and left a nice circular scratch from the earpiece speaker down to the middle right edge.

I must say, these new iPhones are way tougher than the 6/6s/7, but nowhere near my old Motorola flip. I dropped that thing in the driveway one day from ear level and it didn't leave a mark. Of course, the battery was launched 10 feet across the driveway, which I had to find and put back into the phone.

I know this is an old thread but would like to ask you on how the stainless pvd coating is? Still no light micro scratches even while inspecting it under direct bright light and tilting it in an angle?
You don’t sound like someone who should use the phone without a case. 😀
