Fair question. How do people feel comfortable with a $4000 gadget being left in front of their house?
Today feels like a monumental moment in human history.
Hopefully we can find a handful of other moments that are more monumental…
Why? Because of some tech toy? We havent fixed any of worlds big problems and we dont even know what we are and where we are (what is universe) but we bury our heads in the sand and try to find happiness in consuming crap we dont need. Its not monumental. Its sad.
But I will give you that for AAPL this can be quite monumental. And just as with the original iPhone they might be onto something that can transform the way we interact with silicon chips.
I see several similarities. Both are sort of at a prototype state with some weird choice short-comings and are ridiculously expensive compared to similar gadgets (iPhone 1 vs other smart-ish phones, AVP vs other VR's). But they also bring something new to the table in terms of how smoothly you can interact with it. At least according to the videos I have seen.

If there was just enough profit in solving our ridiculous demand for burning of hydrocarbons and mining the earth for all sorts of things that are better left in the ground. If we could find a way to let go of our big ego's and bigotry and stop killing each other for random reasons. Now that would be truly monumental.
I do love platitudes followed by a signature with a long list of devices, the production of which, rely on hydrocarbons and things dug out of the ground...

It's hard to imagine anything surpassing today for decades. People will think my opinion is hyperbolic but, believe me, in a few years your entire world will have a changed with your Vision Pro.
It's not some tech toy. Vision Pro will revolutionize the way humans approach work, rest and play.
I for one I’m camping in right now. A store employee just came out and told me I’ll be in at 7:30am.
In Miami I have been doing this for years. I wear my Rolex watches less now because how the world is lately. I've learned when and where to wear them. If Rolex stays home I just put on the AUW. I'm picking up my vision pro tomorrow. I don't have time to pick up today. I have no worries walking out of the apple store with it. I valet park too which is literally within walking steps of the apple store.
Sometimes you have to play the game even though you don’t like the rules.

The two kids mentioned in the signature probably cause a much larger carbon footprint.

I feel like most of whats published so far is known but for now lets suffice it to say we probably should not be wearing this computer without lots of breaks in between long time use. Like taking a 2-5min break ever 20 minutes or so.The world definitely will be changed!
