This is literally the biggest thing to happen in our industry since iPhone. That's why. This is a new gold rush for developers, and a whole new world opening up for consumers.

Demand seems incredibly high, but people need to stay calm. Apple are working hard to get Vision Pro onto the heads of as many customers ASAP.

Which industry are you referring to?

Also, what makes you say the "demand seems incredibly high"?

What nonsense. There’s no evidence of high demand. There are plenty of accounts of people walking into Apple stores and trying Vision Pro today. Where are the lines? My store’s demo appointment slots are all wide open. The public is decidedly NOT interested. Hardcore Apple fans are interested. That’s it.

The public WOULD be interested but Apple seriously mis-priced this product. This should have a been a premium headset focused on productivity and industry (supporting more than one Mac display would be nice), followed by a cheaper 'non pro' version that contains all the consumer level shenanigans such as Dinosaur Encounter.

I think it's more than that. The whole product is somewhat ill-conceived. I don't think the public is interested in products like this, generally speaking. The Quest is a lot cheaper, but it's not flying off the shelves. A $499 iPhone accessory that serves as a portable big screen display would print money. That's the product that would interest the public in my opinion.

Our species has long since devolved into a hostility-by-default modus operandi. It's just what we are now.
Yeah, and I think some of it here has to do with people coping with spending way too much on a product that doesn't seem to be all they were promised it'd be.
