yup, I was so disappointed with it I sold it and canceled my contract. I'm getting an ipod touch instead.

I sure will miss my 24/7 connection to the Internet but enough was enough.

That doesn't even make any sense in the context of this thread. Getting an iPod touch means you must have liked the iPhone, but not liked your phone bill, which isn't what this thread is about.

... in particular, 'call this number'. How many times has a girlfriend, friend or family member texted, and you've thought, 'I'll just ring them back' - what a hassle!

Such a menu would also allow you to add a received call from an unknown number to your contacts menu easily.

Very simple things, made impossible by the software. I find that incredible.

I don't entirely follow you. While it's true you can't call a person by clicking on the text message notification itself (remember that many people have text message notification set to not reveal the actual message on the lock screen), you CAN call them from the text conversation itself (the CALL button at the top).

You can also easily add a number that has called you to an existing contact, or create a new contact from the info.

His maths is fine; we can infer him to mean the 8 minutes wait after a dropped call happened only once.

Point 2 is just laughable; why not mind your own business? You've no idea how he was commuting.

Let's hope not all your posts are like the above.

You can infer whatever you want, I found his writing unclear.

Let me make sure I have this straight: you saw fit to stick your nose in my business to tell me not to stick my nose in other peoples business? Also, PUBLIC SAFETY is everyone's business.

Disappointed, no. However, there are features that can be added and others that need some bug fixes. Overall, I am quite happy with the iPhone.

Not even a tiny bit disappointed. My iPhone has become an integral part of my home and work life and it integrates seamlessly with my Mac. I've had either an iPod Touch or an iPhone for a year now, and I still love it as much as the first day. The iPhone OS just simply works great for me, as does the hardware.

Honestly, I really could care less about the things people commonly bitch and moan about- MMS, bluetooth file transfer, cut and paste. If they come to the iPhone, great. But I transfer files just fine with AirSharing and A.I. Disk, both of which were worth a few buck for a great UI and user experience. I can still email pics to people if I really want to, and my friend's took the 1/2 second it takes to add my email to my name in their cell's contacts if they want to send me a pic.
