Not only is the display amazing, but my display has a cooler color temp than my iPad 2, which I vastly, vastly prefer. I hated moving from my nice and calibrated displays to the gross yellowness (which I just did not prefer) of that device.
The pictures and descriptions of this screen really don't do it justice. You have to see and use it in person. Read a page in iBooks, watch a full 1080p video clip, surf the net. It's unbelievable.
Whats everyone got their brightness set to?
Even though my expectations were set high, it is still a surprise seeing the display in person. I can read a whole eText page from a textbook that is physically larger than 8.5"x11" paper, and yet I can comfortably read the entire page on my iPad without any zooming. The reviewers that said this display simulates printed media weren't exaggerating.
I have the iPhone 4, and I was still blown away by this screen, probably because it is larger. Is it any differnt than the retina on the iPhone 4/S ? I assume anyone who has used one of those would be a bit less blown away since they would be partially used to it?
Should we bother with an invisible shield if the display is so great? Just curious to see if anyone is going to put any kind of screen protection on it.
