Love it -pretty incredible.

I am a little worried as one side to the other, it gradients from a more warm tinge to a cooler one. Will leave it a few days.

I won't lie, at first I wasn't blown away by the new screen, but after playing with it for a while I'm starting to love it. I'm starting to notice a bunch of little details that I've never seen before on certain apps. Also, the text is super sharp I no longer have to get close to my iPad to read small text.

Oh, and one more thing I'm using dictation to type this comment right now, that's pretty cool.

Nope between the yellowing , heat and weight, might be returning mine.
Camera is nice.

Not as blown away as I was when I first got my iPhone 4, but I'm used to the 'phenomenon' of a retina display now. Sure is gorgeous though!

Just got mine about 20 minutes ago, and the screen is amazing. How people are going to compare between the "new" iPad and the iPad 2 and NOT say that the screen on the 2 is garbage, is beyond me.

We should've gotten this LAST year!!!

Not really, I wasn't expecting to be. I've had an iphone 4 since launch, and THAT blew me away for the first 6 months, but I've gotten used to it.

For me, its more about what phil schiller touched on in the keynote last week. Making technology invisible. After using my ip4 all day, coming home to read on my ipad, I always noticed the reduced quality of the screen. Always. It was just one of those little nagging points that made the technology more 'visible.'

I am so thrilled that finally, my ipad experience will be just as 'invisible' as my iphone experience.

I have to admit. Apple did the right thing choosing Samsung for their iPad display. Ive always trusted the Samsung name in my house. I have a Samsung 7000 series 55 in LED and i couldn't have been happier. Apple and Sammy together make a great team. Thanks Apple. Its great to know you and Samsung ironed out your problems and got down to business of making people happy. Thats what it is all about.

Before my iPad was delivered, I was considering returning it and using my iPad 2 until the 4th generation's release. Not now, that idea has been emphatically nixed. I was dumbfounded and speechless with my mouth agape when i started using this thing. This new display is by itself completely worth the upgrade. It is truly gorgeous. The crisp text!! The color!! Oh my! What a profound difference. (I've never had an iPhone 4, still using the 3GS. So I have no prior point of reference to bias my opinion regarding the iPad's improvement)

Is it any differnt than the retina on the iPhone 4/S ? I assume anyone who has used one of those would be a bit less blown away since they would be partially used to it?

I'm curious to find out about this as well. Apple did say the color saturation is better on the new iPad's display. Perhaps added color gamut?

Display is simply gorgeous. Viewing angles are great too. I have this laying on my lap now typing this response and I don't have to hunch over to see! I'm leaning back on my couch, legs propped up on my coffee table, and no problems seeing even though its nearly flat! Love it, love it, love it!

PS - the voice dictation is really good too... I'm like the little girl who finally got that pony she always wanted :D
