I bought the mountek for my old 5 and it worked great, moved the magnet to the 6 and it still works fine.

On the 5 I noticed a very very slight bump in the case from the metal but its really insignifigant and only noticable if youre specifically looking for it. On the 6 spigen case i have its invisible

I really cant stand vent mounts or suction cups, so mountek seemed like the only option. My only small complaint with this one is i cant see the radio text really, but i use the phone for the audio (music or xm/sirius app) so its not w huge issue.

Which one do you recommend for an iPhone 6, the Kenu airframe or airframe+? It appears that both are compatible, but not sure which one to purchase.

I bought this Koomus CD Slot mount. It works great.

Does anyone use the Airframe+ with the 6+? Thinking of going for one but how is the stability of it when driving along? Does it shake about or pretty secure on the heater grills?

Many thanks

Stability is fine on mine.

The way the clip works, it has two different sized gaps that you can select by rotating the clip 90 degrees. This lets it fit a range of vent vanes while still maintaining excellent contact.

If you can actually get yours so that it engages both vertical and horizontal vanes simultaneously it'll be 100% solid. Mine does not, but it's still easy to find a spot in the vent such that it doesn't move much at all by hand, and doesn't bounce noticeably while driving.

Got my Koomus mount today. Pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Though the 6+ pretty much blocks my radio control now, the cd mount places it a few inches away from the dash so I can still change the station, etc. My VW has steering wheel controls too.

I preordered the phone 6 Plus holder from ProClip today

I already have the customized mount in my Honda Element 2011 with the phone holder for the 5S, so all i needed to do was purchase the iPhone holder from ProClip (for my someday arriving 6Plus - I'm in the October 13-20 group). So now I can amuse myself watching if the iPhone 6 Plus or the ProClip iPhone 6 Plus holder comes first. I figure those of us in the October 13-20 delivery window (we all ordered EARLY on 09/12 but not in the first two hours) won't see any movement (just processing order) until October 1 or early October. Then depending on FoxCom's production schedule and inventory we could start to get delivery dates. That's my working hypothesis although I do look at MacRumors daily to see if anyone in that window has been updated to preparing for shipment or has a tracking number ...

I have run the gauntlet with phone mounts for my car. The Kenu airframe is the best because it's simple and works well. No suction cups, modifications to the car, cheep looking plastic parts that take away from clean design of the interior..

I don't have a 6, I'll be waiting for the 6s plus but will upgrade to the Airframe+ when I do. I'm glad their making a unit for larger phones. I actually like that they made the plus in black as it will disappear even more into the background.

I got mine today...seems to work really well. Some vent designs work better than others though.

Works great for BMW f30 series. I have mine on the left vent and rout my black charger cable behind the seems of the steering wheel (when I need charging). I should also add that I'm able to get it in and out of the airframe one handed

I haven't tried in in my X6 yet

My airframe+ just arrive today. Looks and works great with my 6.

Anyone else buying a car mount for their new iPhone?
Yup. Like some others will be using ProClip/Brodit just as we have for all prior devices. All our vehicles already have vehicle mounts though we tend to use Panavise since their brackets securely bolt to the vehicle whereas ProClip/Brodit tends to rely on friction and double-sided tape. Suction cups, friction mounts, vent mounts, etc just aren't as secure.

We'll be replacing the 514434's (no longer on the ProClip site) with their current equivalent for the 6 -- the 515662. Holds the device securely and can be inserted and removed one-handed.

We do use the Airframe as well but just in rental cars.

It uses both gel and suction that could stay mounted in a hurricane
The real concern is an accident. You'd be amazed at how easily things become flying projectiles even though you think they're secure.
