There are around 10 of us outside my local store. Hoping for a surprise in the morning! Security is here so Apple seemed to expect some lines.

What for, in store pickups? They won't have any in-store inventory the 24th I thought...?

I already lost sleep for the mad rush of preorders and missed that window. Not losing another night sleep to come up empty handed at a store.

Good luck, but any and all reports say NO stock in stores 4/24 except for those limited boutiques. There are lines forming for those, but I'd be shocked if anyone got one from an Apple Store 4/24.

Lol good luck I just finished closing my store and I sent the people waiting home and let them know we didn't have any.

We did not get any in no store did stop hoping for a miracle

only 1 store in Los Angeles was reported to have watches

"
One of the stores, Maxfield, is located in Los Angeles, and people are already lining up outside the store in the hopes of getting an Apple Watch on launch day. Maxfield is the only store in the United States that have the Apple Watch in stock on April 24.

Enjoy your night out. They will let you try on a watch (that is in demo mode only, non-finctioning) and they will let you play with the display models that are secured to the counter and are semi-functional.

I would wager a fair amount of money you will not leave with a watch short of stealing one you won't be able to use....and I don't gamble.

I think apple will secretly have some models in stock, since the watch comes out on the "24".

IF they really have security and line set up there. In which case, photo from OP pls.

They MIGHT just have some surprise for us.

Security has been hired because we knew that people would be too stubborn to actually listen and still camp out

Right, already had a let down with the pre-order (Once I got in at 3:09pm, the date stated "June," I quit the order. - Yeah, I know now that it would have been actually possible I'd get that June order by tomorrow or next week.

Waiting in line...Nah, there's an Apple Store literally a 1/2 mile away from me. A), I don't think they will have any tomorrow morning. But hey..who knows at this point. Been a strange launch. B), MAYBE...maybe I would consider heading there around 6, 7am - see if there are others hanging out. But It HAS to be crappy weather around here, typical NE BS spring, end of April and its going down to 32º tonight. I'm not freezing my a** off in this. I assume stock will boost up in June, I'll pick it up in the store. No rush at this point.

dude there will NOT be watches in ANY APPLE STORES ACROSS AMERICA, OTHER THAN IN THE 1 STORE IN LOS ANGELES

But that comes out from the Product Launch budget and should been mentioned in the Launch Day guide.

Does it currently say

10pm: Follow your store usual closing time
12am: Set up visual as per visuals guide
1am: Security arrives
1am-6am: Line is set-up, no specialists should be present.
7am: If line is present, no one should be updated/informed
8.30am: Daily dl, beef up security
9am: Store opens, prepare for riot
9.01am: Store leaders approach line and announce no Watch today
9.02am: Assist calm customers on online purchases, security to hold down customers who become aggressive
3pm: Start selling the watch edition only

And I'm not going there tomorrow. I heard from a few "yes there will be a few in stock in stores." Others saying "No, no stock."

Whatever the case, I'm staying in bed...going to work as usual. I'll get it in store when it shows up.

I'm curious to read everyones hands on experiences and opinions before I even buy one anyway.

Interesting... That would really piss people off if they end up selling watches tomorrow at some locations.

Did the employees or security say anything to stop you from lining up? With all the confusion and misleading information, you'd think Apple stores would tell customers lining up there wouldn't be any instore watches for sale -- heck, even put up a sign or something.

I don't work on Fridays. My watch is due around 9:30 AM.

The afternoon promises to be very interesting. Thanks to Apple failing to ship but a fraction of what many people expected, that's created a wonderful opportunity to conduct an Apple Watch Auction.

So far there are five confirmed owners who like myself are getting their watches in the morning. None of us are emotionally attached to the watch so they're going to be auctioned off.

At my work alone 35 people are going to bid since their watches aren't going to show up for weeks or months.

It's going to be fascinating to see what they auction off for since the salaries are very high for those participation. Hard Core Apple Faithful they're extremely eager to get one of these watches.

Plus based on the interest before the meeting broke up tonight, we could have as many as ten watches for auction.

I'll be keeping mine since I have experiments planned, but I'm the only one.

They are not selling the product in store. It's online only until June at the earliest.
