Anyone else camping at the Apple Store?

I get one of mine tomorrow, I will be wearing it and camping out for bands and constantly checking my watch for the time, and calling people on the speakerphone asking them to check macrumors for updates.

Apple has already said dont count on it. They even took launch dates down from their website and released a statement.

I guess you can't help crazy.
 
I would not be surprised at all if the Apple stores open tomorrow with Watches in stock.

I think the people waiting inline might be very happy tomorrow.

What do I base this on... Apple has been back peddling a lot in the last week and I think there is a good chance they are sending stock to the stores.

This could be comically smart.

I agree. There is a slight possibility Apple could sell some watches, particularly the less popular models such as Sport + Blue band. They obviously had surplus in this model. There are also some models where people with June ship dates expecting delivery tomorrow.
 
With all the effort Apple's made (tried to) on explaining no store stock on launch, including eliminating advertising for it, it would be more disappointing from a company perspective to still see stock in-store on launch.

You're wasting your time.

I wish associates in Apple Retail good luck tomorrow, it appears you'll need it.

why would you when they said they wouldn't have any? doesn't seem logical.
 
I'm definitely subscribing to this thread, as I'd love to hear an update on whether or not it it turns out to be a waste of time and effort, or a surprise that is bound to anger some people.

I would agree except Angela's Video kinda felt like the wheels may have come off.

:D so now Apple is lying to everyone about stock....WOW!!!

Queue up the complaints about how Apple didnt have stock in stores when Apple told everyone they wouldnt have stock in Apple stores took signs down from the website and issued a statement and still people waited outside overnight anyway.... WOW!!! That is what you call delusion. :confused:

I dont even know what to say.

OP-I genuinely hope you get a watch.

Having said that, I think it's highly unlikely.

If i remember correctly, Angela did say a couple times during the video something along the lines of "things can change at any moment....I will update you as I have new information".

I tried to replay the video, but it has since been made private.

Typical apple, never giving a straight answer.


** I still don't think there will be any sold in stores tomorrow. But I support all of you waiting! Keep us updated. Hopefully the Apple store managers bring you breakfast or something for waiting.

Exactly... That's what I remember too which leads me to believe their strategy is changing daily. So wouldn't be surprised if stock shows up in Apple stores.

And given the fact that apple obviously has a surplus in certain configurations, it would be wise of them to put these models in stores and not let them sit on warehouse shelves.

IF apple sales anything in their stores tomorrow, they will be the least popular ones. The black sheep if you will of their stock pile.

my $0.02.

the remaining $0.98 thinks these guys are wasting their time in line lol.
 
Australian Apple Stores are open maybe a Aussie member can chime in and tell us if they were selling.

Yes and she also said that at least until June all sales of the watch are going to be online only.
