I order the case before I get the phone! Always!! When the phone arrives it goes straight into the case...no messing!!b These are expensive items. Also they have a resale value so the better the condition the more you can push in value.

No brainer!

I bought the Cadaube Veil case for my gold 5S. It's probably the thinnest one I've ever seen.

Even still I usually keep my phone naked most of the time unless I know I'm going somewhere where it might be put in danger of getting scratched/scuffed. I considered Applecare+ but with the raised price of the deductible it doesn't seem worth it to me. I've never dropped any of my iPhones before but if I ended up dropping this one and it cracked, I would probably just pay the $249 for an out of warranty replacement to get a new one from Apple.

Although I really like the design of the iPhone, I use it as a tool, and I intend to take good care of it. I will always place a case on it.

I dropped my Silver 32 GB Verizon 5S plenty of times already.

No big deal. Before it's time to sell, I'll go to the Apple store and make up a lame excuse on how the speaker or mic are acting up. In less than 10 minutes, I'll walk out with a brand new looking 5S.

Been there, done that about 10 times. Works every time.

Hey Apple, if you're reading this, I just want you to know that I love exploiting your system. Sue me.

You do it right before you sell? That would make it impossible to do it 10 times then. There hasn't been that many versions of iphones. And I highly doubt you have owned everyone. Even if you get a phone every year, you would have to do it 2 to 3 times a year to reach 10 times.
