I pre-ordered it and picked it up on release day. It's still sitting on my media rack shrink wrapped. I'm thinking now of just returning it for a refund and maybe picking it up later when it's cheaper or on special offer.

Played it at a friends/co-workers dorm, wasn't totally on board as Gears 2 left me uninterested in the campaign, but horde was fun.

This game is a nice step up, only played Horde so far, but that alone made me plan to purchase it.

This game is the standard for every video game.

I go to an expo (where they had Gears 3, wasn't overly impressed but it's not my kind of game) for 4 days and this happens?

From a design perspective I saw some problems but it's clearly a game singing to the choir that doesn't really try anything new or invigorating.

well guys still i have not played this game because still my taste is not developed in this game and i am furthering investigate about it.

I have been playing the hell out of Horde mode. Love it. :) Beast Mode is an entertaining bit of fun as well, since it's different. I am still not the biggest fan of the MP as to me it's still a lot of shotgun ho'ing, and this game + shotguns = no love for me. The single player I've just gotten rolling in, it is impressive. As stated, the end of the third act is sad, I will go as far as to say it is a bit of a tear jerker.

To get my Baird code from Best Buy I had to go on their forums. The forum moderator sent me a code less than 12 hours later. Been using Mech Baird since. Strangely enough though, I received this Monday from Best Buy a code for Mechanic Baird, as they advertised. :D

Gears to me has been all that hoped for. Definitely one of the game of the years.

The Battlefield 3 open beta started today, right now it is one map. It's definitely stunning looking. It's also still Battlefield, if you're not a fan of the game's play style, this won't change your opinion of it.

After playing about 6 hours of GoW3 in coop, I enjoyed it quite a bit. Cinematography is outstanding. Yes, mostly it's just a continuation and hopefully a completion of the same story, nothing really new, mobs that glow and explode, some new weapons, mechs, Horde Mode can be fun and I'm having fun. But if the standard is something radically new, then you could be disappointed.
