I got my white leather and black carbon fiber weave SGP Sking Guard backs in today. Overall, I really like them. I didn't realize how thick they were though! Should be very good protection for the back of the device. I've included pictures below of each with my Black Apple Bumper installed. There is no issue at all with interference from the Bumper. Both textures feel really authentic. The carbon fiber really feels like carbon fiber (and may really be, I can't tell), as does the leather.

One thing I can tell is that the white leather, although it looks really good on the phone now, is going to get VERY dirty. The texture just feels like it's going to collect all the dirt that comes into contact with it.

Also, the cut outs are perfect, but they are pretty close. I don't like how tight the camera and flash cut-out is, because if it's off even just slightly (like my carbon one is), it will throw off the alignment of the cut out for the Apple logo.

**Also, the white leather DOES have the issue where the camera flash interferes with picture taking. The black carbon does not. I assume it's because the white color is more reflective of the flash's light.

Got my black leather yesterday.

NIIICE!

I like the black leather.

I am currently using PhantomSkinz CF back cover. Looks nice, just like above pics.

When will the leather return to stock?

These look pretty sweet are they dry install or wet? Easy to install....how long did it take you? Wet is usually easier imo. I have a BSE on my back and wound up with a pretty perfect install, very little orange peel but its a fingerprint magnet......has to be wiped constantly.

+1 want to know ease of installation.

Uh oh. This is the older design. All these manufacturers figured out after they got the iPhone 4 that you need more space around the LED flash to prevent the washing out. SGP along with other case makers are doing this oval cutout which has more space and separation (the current design shown on the SGP website). I hope mine is the new design. It may not be as pretty but its not terrible and i dont want any flash impact.

WOW!
Looks amazing but that is pretty tight around the flash!
Hmmmmm

Thanks for the reviews guys!

3 questions...

1. Is there a flash issue with the black leather?

2. It looks like the bumper is wider then the cover is that correct? Ie when sitting on a flat surface the bumper would be touching the surface not the cover right?

3. Will the phone clean up after removal?

Thanks

Mine came in today, but i haven't even opened it. I don't think i'm going to use it, since i really like the Feather that I have on it now. Does anyone know SGP's return policy or would someone be interested in it?

Thanks,
Matt

Edit: I got the Black Leather one.

Mine came today but it has the teardrop cutout. The material is thinner than I thought. It's probably twice as thick as a phantom skin at most, which has an even tighter cut around the flash (although clear). Easy sticky silicone like dry installation. I laid it down and reseated about 3 times and got a clean installation. The cut could be a little tighter around the edges (glass shows through slightly on the edges). Took a couple flash shots before and after with no change. So far so good.
