Anyone else excited about this SGP Leather Skin Guard?

So I just finished putting on the Ultra Crystal screen protector. What a mess I made. It took me about 25 minutes because I didn't plan it out and let a lot of dust/hairs stick to the protector from letting it be exposed too long. I'm usually pretty good at this too :p. Wish I could take pictures for everyone but my digital camera died on my recently.

Pros:

-Very smooth, glass like
-Fingerprints seem to show up less than the other protectors I had on
-Clearest protector I've used. Will probably get a Power Support down the road just to see what the hype is about. I'm satisfied with this one though.

Cons:

-Cut isn't perfect. There could be less space around the home button and along the edges. The incipio protector I had on before this was cut much better although everything else about it sucked.
-No cut out for the front camera. This doesn't seem to be an issue after taking a handful of shots before/after and comparing them on my laptop.

It will certainly prevent scratches, yes. And as Afroman (above) ays, the bumper 'strip' is pre-cut with all the holes in - just need to line it up at the bottom of the phone right up to the dock aperture and continue round past the sim holder - it all lines up.

Hey guys I was just wondering for the people that have received their skin do you know where they ship it from and how long it took to receive it from the time the e-mail of shipping was sent out? I received my e-mail that it was shipped out on the July 6th and it seems most people have got theirs already and mine hasn't even shown up. I'm out here in Los Angeles if that makes any difference. Great pics BTW and hopefully mine gets here soon.

Pretty sure it ships from LA. I got mine in a day and I live in OC.


Leather Skin Guard UPDATE: So the following part on the picture below is lifting on me. It's just so thin it won't stick. Hopefully it doesn't cause lifting around the Apple cut out.

If you got yours in a day then something happened to my shipment. I shot them an e-mail so hopefully they'll get back soon. I don't see any phone number on their site.
 
I just received and installed mine. I was a little nervous about putting the skin guard on the screen, but it turned out ok. Once it was on, the cut was pretty precise. Again, no cutout for the front camera.

The back leather cover went on a lot easier, but it's not a perfect cut. My version is with the tear drop cutout around the camera.

Edit - I wanted to add that the front skin guard makes the screen less slippery.
 
Mine just arrived today but I received the carbon but ordered the black leather. The carbon is cool but want leather so going to have to email them
 
i received mine today....but the actual leather skin was missing from the package :mad: only the crystal screen protector was included. I have to email sgp to try and get the leather skin. I got a dud
 
Mine just came. Put on the leather no problem. I have the teardrop one and it fits perfectly. I had emailed them about the oval one but they said its only for white because of reflection issue. I live this skin although I did expect it to be slightly thicker. It's very very thin but then it wouldn't fit with the bumper if it was any thicker.

I have this on with the white bumper and it's sliiccckkkk. I'll post photos shortly. I haven't put on the front film yet and not sure if I will. I prefer to be naked on the front.

Word of advice. These will bubble and lift of you don't treat it like a crystal front film. I gently peeled away the top qtr of the skin and placed it perfectly over the camera and apple logo. Then I took my finger and pressed firmly on the skin in a downward motion toward the bottom which removed the backing as I did it. No air bubbles and no lifting.
 
I live in LA so it took like 1 day for it to get here after they shipped it.

Install was pretty easy. I did have a slight bubble, but I was able to squeegee it out.

I made a mess of the front screen protector though. I had it on without any bubbles, but wasn't happy with the alignment. I took it off and tried to reapply, but now it's not stuck on perfectly around the ear speaker and some of the edges.

I also emailed them about the flash issue, but they wanted me to send pictures before and after and I didn't really have them to compare.

Does the skin feel like it would offer any shock absorption? Let's say...more than a Wrapsol Ultra?
 
I was waiting for Incase case to be released next week but Wow I really like this combination of the leather skin and the apple bumper! To me this setup gives the phone an overall protection instead of just using the bumper it self. My only concern would be the apple logo getting scratched but i'm so tempted to order this!
 
For leather, these things actually look nice! I can't stand leather... but they look, really, really nice with the black bumper. :)

To the poster above you, never seen or used an ultra but I doubt it would give shock absorption. Too thin.

Depending what the skin is made of seems like it will protect the back o the phone fine from scratched etc. I mean the apple logo
Could always get scratched buy your talking about such a small area so it would have to be pretty unlucky.

How are you liking the combo? This is the exact setup I am planning on getting when my iPhone is finally shipped. How is the lifting around the apple logo? Do you think the combo of the leather back and the bumper will actually help protect the phone? And how's the quality of the leather? Really excited for the white bumper and the black leather.

Also, anyone tried the white leather with the black phone? how does that look with the black back, esp around the back camera and flash? pics would be great.

If you look at my post on page 5 of this thread, I posted pictures of the white leather back on a black iP4 with a black bumper. I posted a quick review of it as well.
